洛杉磯世界日報將於本周六（30日）、周日（5月1日），在羅斯密市西來大學舉行「2011年春季教育展及升大學專題講座」，兩天十場專題演講，從申請獎助學金到如何進入名校等實用議題，幫助僑民瞭解在美升學相關資訊。當天並有免費PSAT、SAT模擬考試，與數學競賽相關測驗，歡迎民眾事先報名。
近年來經濟不景氣，不少人希望申請大學獎助學金，這次教育展上，將特別提供大學獎助學金的最新動態與最新政策。 此外，兩天的專題講座也幫助僑民掌握申請大學各科（文、理、工、醫）相關重要資訊，奠定基礎，進入適合自己的大學，並在申請大學過程中增加競爭力。相關講座還包括「GPA2.5至4.5也能進入頂尖大學」、「進入名校訣竅」、「教育基金的重要性與籌措教育基金的多種途徑」、「進入名校的秘訣」等。
今年教育展上，還將擴大免費模擬測試。主辦單位表示，4月30 日至5月1日上午10時15分至12時45分，有針對九、十年級的「PSAT」測驗。兩天下午的1時至5時，則有針對十年級與11年級的「SAT」免費測驗，每場限100人，歡迎民眾踴躍報名。參加測驗的家長，一周後會收到測驗成績單。
此外，對數學有興趣與天分的學生，也可參加30日上午11 時至12時（六到八年級），下午1時至2時30分（八至11年級）的「美國數學奧林匹克系列賽AMC模擬考試」。
5月1日上午11時至12時（五至七年級），學生可參加「美國初中數學大賽MathCounts模擬大賽」。
二至五年級學生，則可參加當天下午1時至1時30分「小學數學奧林匹克及性向評估測試」。上述三場每場限30人，歡迎民眾報名，報名專線323-268-4982轉500。
兩天的教育展，將在羅斯密西來大學（University of the West）舉行（1409 N. Walnut Grove., Rosemead,CA 91770），上午10時至下午5時。電話323-268-4982。

活动对象（不限美国）：协带符合嘉兴市产业需求的太阳能、包装、先进装备制造、电子信息、汽车及零部件、食品等产业以及新能源、新材料、新一代信息技术、生物技术、现代服务业等新兴产业发展前景项目的海外高层次人才和团队。特别是有意申报嘉兴市精英引领计划的海外高层次人才。
