Dear Friends,
The Twelfth Annual Women in Business Legislative Update & Awards Luncheon will take place at the Castaway on Friday, July 15, 2011. This year we will celebrate with the theme, “Climbing the Ladder of Success through Financial Literacy.”
The Women in Business Awards honor local women whose exceptional abilities have contributed to the economic vitality and diversity of the 21st Senate District and/or 43rd and 44th Assembly Districts.
Your assistance is requested to identify outstanding individuals for recognition; we ask that you submit nominations for this year’s awards. Women in Business celebrates women who have contributed to the greater good of the workforce through the advancement of business and the proliferation of new jobs while serving as role models for their community and co-workers. Please help us to acknowledge women who are leading the way in the 21st Century.
Nominees must live or work in one of the three specific legislative districts. Attached is a nomination form and instructions.

Dear members of the ICSPAH,
I have just received information from the director of our Chongqin office, Prof. Yan Xiaobo, Chongqin University (CQU) has decided to invite a delegation from the Society to visit their campus during June 12 to 16 this summer.
The delegation has the following tasks:
Official inauguration of the ICSPAH Chongqing Office with Prof. Yan as the director of the office; Develop a collaborative research center between CQU and ICSPAH; Lecture tour, CQU and other universities in the region; CQU will be responsible for all of our expenses in Chongqing, and most part of our domestic travel to / from Chongqing within China.
Please contact me within the week, before midnight April 22, if you would like to be part of this exciting opportunity and help our society to build up more academic exchanges and research collaborations in China. I can be reached at lli3@lsu.edu, or 225-772-6915.

僑務委員會為提供海外僑商青年培養人道關懷及參與志工服務生活體驗，訂7月11日至22日辦理「2011年僑商青年國際志工服務營」。
活動由紅十字會總會承辦，服務營區位於南投地區，預定招收30名志工學員，活動內容包括兒童課輔、老人服務、兒童營隊活動及青少年服務等，以及社區文化體驗。完成全程活動者將由僑務委員會及中華民國紅十字會總會發給中英文社區服務證明。
參加對象為能以中文溝通，年齡16歲至25歲且現仍在學之海外青年僑胞，能以中文溝通，身心健康能適應團體生活者（請附健康證明文件）。有意參加者請至僑務委員會網站（http://www.ocac.gov.tw）/「最新消息」或至全球僑商服務網（http://www.ocbn.org.tw）/「最新消息」下載活動日程表及報名表件。
