Dear Supporter , A Baby Needs Your Help. Ma Hao Xuan is 2 months old. His mother and father are subsistence farmers who live off less than two acres of land in Wen Shan prefecture in Yunnan Province. Their monetary income is less than $1,000 each year. Little Ma was born with severe complex congenital heart disease (double outlet right ventricle and pulmonary atresia) that makes the oxygen concentration in his blood and body only 75%, much lower than normal. Little Ma can be saved with surgery at West China Hospital in Chengdu, China. His treatment will cost $15,000. Rural insurance will pay 50% of this cost. Little Ma’s family needs to raise $7,500 to save their son’s life. Little Ma needs your help. If you wish to help Little Ma and other poor sick children become well, please donate now at www.chinacal.org or at the donate button above or email Shan Shan Chen at shanshan@chinacal.org. We also need volunteer pediatric cardiologists, nurses and ultrasound technologists who are fluent in Mandarin for our 2017 program. It is not too early to contact us if you would like to volunteer.
