年金是一種退休計劃。江山代有才人出，各領風騷若干年，財務保險市場也如此。年金現在有三種，即可變年金variable annuity、固定年金fixed annuity、與指數年金fixed index annuity。
第一種可變年金。你的錢投資在共同基金中，隨市場波動，上下起伏可以很大。像2000-2002年，相對較穩定的S&P500指數都跌掉了50%，而high-tech的NASDAQ指數在2000年時曾上沖到5000點。此後一路狂瀉，2006年連鼎盛時的一半都不到。 如果你不幸把退休計畫的錢放在這種高風險的指數基金中，那就慘不堪言。
而固定年金不隨市場起舞，保險公司保證給你一個最低的利息，一般是3%左右，高的時候可能有4-5%，也就差不多到頭了，不會賠錢，利息可能剛夠彌補通貨膨脹。但想獲得更高的回報則不可能。
近幾年又出現了一種新的年金即指數年金fixed index annuity。保險公司拿你的錢去投資，怎麼投資跟你沒有關係，但你的回報是跟著幾大指數，如道‧鐘斯，S&P500或NASDAQ100走。這些指數漲了，你也跟著漲，但會有一個cap上限，如年上限12%或月上限3%。
如果說可變年金是波浪式的上下起伏，指數年金則像是爬樓梯，一級一級往上走，最多原地踏步，但不會跌下去。指數年金因為保證不賠錢，又可享受股市上漲時獲得較高回報的特點,而在這幾年大行其道。 有些保險公司為搶佔市場，還給10%、15%、甚至20%的一次性獎勵，因而更受顧客青睞。
年金vs共同基金，2016投什麼？
上升潛力: 共同基金能從市場上升中獲益。 有些浮動年金也能從市場上升中獲益。 假如你投資是固定年金，市場上升都與你無關，因為你的利潤率是固定的和可以預測的。 有些指數年金也允許擁有者參與市場獲利。
下跌保護: 保護投資者免受市場下跌影響，是年金超越共同基金的最大優勢。 股票市場下跌直接降低共同基金的價值，放在股票的共同基金是跟隨市場漲跌。 年金多有保障市場跌減的保障機制。
生前福利: 許多年金包括生前福利的特點，允許在一定情況下取款而不被罰款。 假如需要住養老院nursing home，許多年金合約允許提取養老院費用相同的數額而不被罰款。 有些年金甚至提供更有吸引力的福利，包括支付永久殘疾、疾病晚期和失業的生活費。 共同基金沒有提供這些種類的生前福利。
走後福利: 共同基金和年金的帳戶受益人條款，都有把資金轉移給後人的機制，受益人在所有人去世後會收到帳戶中的剩餘資產。
費用: 年金通常提供比共同基金更多的額外附件選擇additional rider，但是近來有些頂級保險公司也推出零風險零費用的保證遞增終身收入的退休年金。

Call for Papers
We are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the Tenth International Conference on e-Learning & Innovative Pedagogies, held 27 May 2017 at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada. This stand-alone, one-day conference is held concurrently with the last session day of the Thirteenth International Conference on Technology, Knowledge & Society, and single and package registrations are available. We invite proposals for paper presentations, workshops/interactive sessions, posters/exhibits, colloquia, virtual posters, or virtual lightning talks. Proposal Submissions and Deadlines
