Dr. Steven Chu (Nobel Laureate and US 12th Secretary of Energy) will come and deliver a keynote speak at the evening gala. The Transfer & Career Planning Center will be hosting a Career & Job Fair on campus Thursday, March 24, 2016. This event will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Barstow College Gymnasium.
This event is a great way for our students to gather vital job/career information on the employers who will be in attendance. There will be approximately 45 employers who will be able to answer any questions, offer professional guidance, and support.This occasion is a great opportunity for students to consider options they may not have been aware of. If the student is an EOPS/CalWORKs/AFS student, the individual will receive workshop credit. If they are a part of a student club they will receive service points. ASG is sponsoring a free Del Taco lunch for all participants with the ASG Spring sticker. Participants who don’t have a sticker will able to buy lunch for $1.00. Students also have an opportunity to be entered into a drawing for lots of great prizes.
