5月10日本周五，洛杉矶华人学生电影展映会就要和大家见面了啦。本次活动旨在鼓励留美电影学生以及工作者更多的交流。

本次活动纯属公益，无需购票。
Check In — 6:45PM 因为影片放映不同于别的活动，请大家务必不要迟到。因为迟到十分钟也许错过的就是一部精彩的影片。
正式开场 — 7:00 PM 放映会分成两部分。上半场放映三部电影，下半场放映两部。
1.《Director of Success》 /《How I Learn to Shoot a Film》
《Director Of Success》是由查普曼大学导演专业研究生二年级学生赖坤猷导演的。
影片介绍：该片讲述了一个导演在面对各方面压力的时候，如何拍摄自己的电影。
2.《唇语师：推理游戏》/《Lip Reader》
《唇语师：推理游戏》是由纽约电影学院在读研究生学生石谭轩导演的。
影片介绍：该片讲述了明星爆料工作室的唇语师被卷入当红艺人珠宝被盗的案件中，她利用自己高超的读唇能力解谜的故事。
获奖情况：该影片在北京国际电影节第26届北京大学生电影节剧情片单元“最佳剪辑奖”，蒙特利尔世界电影节联合特别单元“特别关注奖”，同时也是2018奥斯卡中国之夜创投单元金奖项目。
3.《Inside Linda Vista Hospital》
《Inside Linda Vista Hospital》是由纽约电影学院毕业生夏俊导演的。该片讲述了一个刚从一场惊悚事件中获救的年轻女孩，通过一个DV找到遇害谜团的故事。
友情提示：该片为恐怖片，如有对此类型电影不适的观众可以提前离场休息。
中场休息10分钟 - 随后会有10分钟的中场休息，场外有零食和饮料可供大家使用。大家可以在享受电影的同时，与各位导演以及身边的人进行交流，分享各位拍电影的经历。
4.《Someday，Somewhere》
《Someday，Somewhere》是由毕业于AFI导演系的源根导演的。
影片介绍：该片讲述了老年人对年轻时代伙伴的追忆，以及对过去约定的坚守与放弃。
5.《Spring Flower》/《春花》
《Spring Flower》是由毕业于南加大研究生的童画导演的。
影片介绍：该片讲述了中国农村女孩为自己的自由奋斗的历程，与新思想碰撞后，对于维护自己的权益有了朦胧的启迪。
获奖情况：该片获得了2018年第45届学生奥斯卡最佳叙事片金奖。
《Director Of Success》导演 - 赖坤猷：坚持个性，放松心态。享受拍电影的过程，保持自己的黑色幽默，用小成本完成创作。乐于从生活中取材，拍摄上跳出思维定势，打破成规，尝试开拓新鲜创作方式。
《唇语师：推理游戏》导演 - 石谭轩：拥有丰富的将作品与商业对接的经验，和对国内商业影片构架的思路，以及后期运营短片的整体思维。坚持开辟自己的商业片模式，了解当下中国电影的情况。针对留美华人学生拍摄短片电影回国参加创投，与短片如何孵化长片的经验，石导有许多可以分享。
《唇语师：推理游戏》制片 - 段珮珮：2012级北京电影学院毕业联合作业“最佳制片奖”得主；国内首部极限滑板运动题材短片《超凡滑手》制片；一路阳光电影公司制片人；参与多部电影，广告，短片的制作。
《Inside Linda Vista Hospital》导演 - 夏俊：师从“SAW”好莱坞电影系列电影摄影师David A. Armstrong。2017年参与了恐怖电影“INTO THE MIRROR”的制作。 2018年与演员Billy Zane（TITANIC）合作，在一部音乐剧电影中担任第一副导演。一直走在好莱坞电影工业的前进道路上。
《Someday，Somewhere》导演 - 源根：他的作品创作都缘于对生命的思考。珍惜身边的一切是如此的重要，是我们力量的源泉。像电影罗马一样，用真实又独特的视角去记录平淡的生活，体味生活本质。
在场观众可以和嘉宾们自由交流，我们还会评选出最受观众喜爱的导演，送上价值500美元的拍摄基金。我们也准备了一些礼品、代金券、体验卡送给幸运观众。

What will be covered at the conference
Themed as Digital Transformation ABC, the 2019 NECINA Annual Conference will mainly put the spotlight on three technologies - Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cloud Computing - and their various applications in different industries such as Biotech / Healthcare, Finance / Fintech, E-commerce / Marketing and so on. 金钉节150周年盛会将在盐湖城举办
2019年5月9日至11日，美国犹他州盐湖城，犹他华人纪念州际铁路贯通150周年系列活动将隆重举办。现场庆典、论坛、才艺比赛、颁奖、纪念晚会等等，组委会推出一系列丰富多彩的盛会，让与会朋友们欢庆并铭记这值得华人引以为豪、彪炳美国历史的盛大节日——金钉节。
此次纪念活动内容丰富充实，涉及多个层面。活动拟邀请主讲、演讲嘉宾包括：美国交通部长赵小兰、犹他州长Gary Herbert、中国驻美国大使馆代表、2020年美国总统候选人杨安泽、祖籍江门的美国联邦众议员赵美心、铁路华工故乡广东省江门政府代表出现。届时，来自中国广东省江门（许多铁路华工的祖籍地）、辽宁省、山东省、江西省、江苏省、香港等地和四川民族学院、西南交通大学的代表团将莅临庆祝活动。
具体时间和内容如下：
5月9日：
2-5pm:高等教育论坛，青少年文学和艺术大赛（半决赛）；
7-9pm：欢迎招待会（仅对受邀请嘉宾开放）。
5月10日：
8am-3pm：在金钉公园参加官方的金钉节150周年庆典（含入场、午餐、交通）；
3-6pm：青少年文学和艺术大赛(决赛)：
7:30-9:30pm：犹他华人金钉庆祝晚宴，主题演讲、青少年文学和艺术大赛颁奖仪式、华裔杰出成就与贡献奖。
5月11日：
犹他华人金钉研讨会（免费入场，建议注册）；

10am-12pm：铁路华工及华人移民的过去、现在和未来；
1-2:45pm：铁路技术与发展论坛；

5:30-6:30pm：晚餐；

Please join me in welcoming to Monterey Park Speaker Nancy Pelosi for a fundraiser on Monday, June 17th from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Ocean Star Restaurant. In January of this year, Nancy Pelosi made history once again, becoming the first and only woman to be Speaker of the House of Representatives. She is the most powerful woman in the United States.
Let us celebrate her accomplishments, as well as her strength in standing up to President Trump. Under her leadership, the American people elected a Democratic majority to the House of Representatives. Already, the new majority has denied the president''''s request to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, has begun investigating potential conflicts of interest violations by administration officials, and has begun work on lowering prescription drug prices. Clearly, it is critical that we keep our majority in the House.
Speaker Pelosi will talk about the challenges and opportunities in the 2020 election, the value that our diverse members bring to Congress, and how the House is standing in the way of the Trump administration''''s efforts to destroy the Affordable Care Act, gut clean air and water regulations, and stop immigrants from succeeding in this country. Please join Leader Nancy Pelosi and me to make sure that Democrats have the resources they need to win and keep our majority.
