Cameron J. McConnell, Chief Innovation Officer of Build To Prosper, a division of MGLLC, a business consulting corporation owned by Cameron, will present during the Finance class session on October 17th 2015. Cam is considered a master at profit creation for business owners throughout the world. Recently Cam has written a book entitled Build To Prosper that reveals the key business secrets (treasures) to attaining sustainable pretax profits to invest in future innovation for business owners. Cam has assisted well over 400 business owners over the past 40 years in accomplishing this goal. These business owners have increased their business market value by more than $2Billion dollars.
In presenting to the MBA Finance class at California Institute of Advanced Management, Cam will dispel the previously touted economic theory of return on investment (ROI) as being no longer relevant and he will offer a new model. This model is based on earning a minimum return of 10% pretax sales not on equity (investment). Cam is the founder in 1978 of his business advising firm, MGLLC and is currently the Chief Innovation Officer of Build to Prosper, a division of MGLLC. After 400 engagements with business owners over the last 37 years, Cam continues to assist owners in increasing their business pre-tax earnings to be sustainable and sufficient to invest in future innovation.
In his new book, “Build To Prosper” he discloses MGLLC’s intellectual property. This intellectual property is the system that is applied by his methodology to successfully obtain a minimum 10% pre-tax profit return on sales. China's Millennials: The Want Generation with Eric Fish
Join us on Tuesday, November 3, for an Author Talk with Eric Fish, who will discuss his recently published work, China's Millennials. In the book, Eric Fish, a millennial himself, profiles youth from around China to show how they are navigating the education system, the workplace, divisive social issues, and a resurgence in activism. Based on interviews with scholars, journalists, and hundreds of young Chinese, his engrossing book challenges the idea that today''''s youth have been pacified by material comforts and nationalism. Following rural Henan students struggling to get into college, a computer prodigy who sparked a nationwide patriotic uproar, and young social activists grappling with authorities, Fish deftly captures youthful struggle, disillusionment, and rebellion in a system that is scrambling to keep them in line-and, increasingly, scrambling to adapt when its youth refuse to conform.
