他改变了我的一生,但他却不知道… 古人有,每逢佳节倍思亲,而我在每年教师节这一天,尤其怀念我的数学启蒙恩师余先生。异国他乡几十载,恩师点滴教诲,师堂风采,依然萦绕耳目。 我于上海永三小学渡过了我的小学生涯。许多年过去了,我依旧记得五年级时,余先生作为一名“臭老九”被下放到永三小学。因为身份所迫,余先生不能教普通班,只能担任数学提高班的老师。半年下来,余先生启发了我对数学极大的兴趣。余先生是如何做到这一点呢?他用简洁快进式教学,使中学数学看起来了然容易!自那时起到后来整个中学时代,我的数学一直名列前茅,取得过校、区、市、全国及美国数学竞赛一等奖。而后顺利考取北大数学系,并最终在加州大学洛杉矶分校获得了数学博士学位。职业生涯多年后,起因于辅导儿子及其同学参加美国的数学竞赛,在这过程中发掘了自己对教育的那种热爱,并最终投身教育事业,成为网上实时互动教育的开拓者之一,这一切既是偶然亦是缘定。 桃李不言而成蹊,那年小学毕业后,我便与余先生失去了联系。岁月辗转,36年后我终于经过多方努力获知余先生考上了复旦大学中国语言学系,后来成为一名知名教授,在语言学领域中享有盛誉。然而不幸的是,那时余先生已故去三年。 今年八月,我在上海终于有幸见到了余先生的夫人张师母,并联系上了他们的儿子。在与师母回顾余先生的生活点滴中,更觉人生如白驹过隙。余先生一生颇为坎坷,但却才华横溢,精通文理,教书有道,育人有方。 他改变了我的一生,但我却最终未能得以报答,只能将他对我的影响铭记于心。现在每年夏天我都会重执教鞭,按照余先生的教学方式,激发孩子们对学习的兴趣和对知识的渴望。我相信这是对恩师最好的纪念。
教育是一种传承,教育也是我今后人生奋斗的事业。

多少年的追寻,多少次的叩问,乡愁是一碗水,乡愁是一杯酒,乡愁是一朵云,乡愁是一生情”。浙江的海外游子,您可还记得家乡泥土芳香?您可还记得父老乡亲对您的期盼?您的心头还有多少对故乡挥之不去的眷恋和回忆?
“美丽浙江”征文活动启事 为让生活在海外的浙江游子、留学生,抒发对故乡的回忆、眷恋、思念,激发对故乡情感的共鸣。浙江省人民政府新闻办公室、浙江省人民政府外事侨务办公室、浙江省教育厅、浙江日报报业集团将为您的“乡愁”诉说搭建平台,在浙报集团海外版、浙江在线、“浙江新闻”客户端等媒体开展以“美丽浙江、美好生活”为主要内容的“美丽浙江——记住乡愁”征文活动。 一、征文内容:征文活动围绕“浙江记忆”,以“美丽浙江——记住乡愁”为主题,通过对故土风貌和家乡回忆描述,讲述海外游子在外拼搏、情系家乡、回馈祖国的生动故事,抒发海外游子心中的故土之恋、桑梓之情、报国之梦,同心协力共建美丽浙江、共创美好生活。 二、征文要求: 1、征文体裁可为记叙文、散文等,字数不超过2000字。要求是原创、真实、情感自然真挚、语言朴实生动。 2、来稿请注明作者的工作、生活、学习单位及详细联系地址、联系电话。稿件概不退回,请作者自留原件。征文刊发时作者已允许注明在海外工作、学习单位。 3、征集时间,2015年7月起至2015年11月30日 4、投稿方法,征文请发送电子邮件至 jzxc2006@163.com 。投稿时请注明:“美丽浙江——记住乡愁”征文大赛投稿。 三、征文对象:面向全体浙江籍华人华侨、海外华裔青少年、浙江籍留学生等。 四、征文刊发:“美丽浙江——记住乡愁”中的优秀征文将陆续通过美国《侨报》、法国《欧洲时报》、英国《华商报》、澳大利亚《华夏传媒》、台湾《浙江月刊》、美国侨报网、法国欧洲时报网、英国华商报网等国家和地区报纸、网络平台的“今日浙江”专版和专栏刊发。同时,浙江日报报业集团旗下浙江在线和手机新媒体平台“浙江新闻”客户端将开设“美丽浙江——记住乡愁”专题,同步刊发优秀征文。 五、评奖及奖项设置:2015年底,主办方将联合有关部门组织评委对刊发的作品进行评选,并对外公布获奖名单。 本次大赛共设:一等奖5名,奖金各6000元;二等奖10名,奖金各3000元;三等奖20名,奖金各1500元。获得奖征文奖金一律通过国内银行卡和邮政汇款系统支付(如作者无法接受国内汇款,可委托他人代收)。 六、授予荣誉称号:征文活动结束后,对荣获一等奖、二等奖的15名作者,将由主办方授予“‘美丽浙江’对外文化传播大使”荣誉称号,并发放证书。欢迎大家踊跃投稿。

Wang Wenlan is one of contemporary China''''s most accomplished photographers. First as an army photographer and later as a photojournalist for the national English-language newspaper China Daily, Wang has documented Chinese life and culture over the past 40 years. Through his vast and remarkable body of work, Wang provides a visual record of changing China and offers foreign publics rare insight into Chinese society. The show will be up through December 18, 2015 at the second floor lobby of the west wing in the Annenberg School for Communication. Speakers: Kristopher (Ruo) Li studied TV news photography at Beijing Broadcasting Institute (now the Communication University of China). Since joining KNBC News in 1991 he has covered many major news events, including the Los Angeles riots, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the OJ Simpson Trial and other major court cases, every presidential election since 1992, natural disasters, and the Olympic Games. On a daily basis, he covers major breaking news in and around Los Angeles. Among his awards are two Los Angeles Area Emmys for Serious News Reporting from Afghanistan in 2001 and an investigative report on tour bus safety in 2012. Judy Polumbaum joined the Iowa faculty in 1989 and became emerita professor as of July 1, 2015. Much of her research focused on journalism and media in mainland China, producing many publications that include the book China Ink: The Changing Face of Chinese Journalism (Rowman & Littlefield, 2008), based on interviews with 20 young Chinese journalists. She did her undergraduate work in East Asian studies at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and has a master''''s from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a doctorate in communication from Stanford University. An Invitation to Submit Manuscripts for a Special Issue of the American Journal of Health Education The American Journal of Health Education invites manuscripts for the special issue "Health Behavior Theory: Then and Now." In this special issue authors are encouraged to examine how and why health behavior theory has been used to drive health education and health promotion research and practice over the past 40 years. This special issue will include: 1) featured manuscripts that include thorough discussions regarding the contribution of health behavior theory in research and practice 2) research manuscripts that are theory driven, and 3) commentaries on the key issues relevant to the use of health behavior theory to modify health risk factors associated with chronic disease. The anticipated publication date for this special issue is Summer 2016. The deadline for submitting manuscripts for consideration is January 15, 2016.
