Telehealth and Technology Webinar: The Well-Being of Military Children: Augmenting Clinical Care with Web- and Mobile-Based Tools

Research on the psychological health of military children indicates that frequent transitions such as moving, family member separations and the cumulative effects of multiple deployments can cause psychological distress, which impacts the well-being of parents and children. Although military children are generally resilient, many are coping with increased levels of anxiety, stress, depressive symptoms, suicidal ideation and behavioral problems.

Call for Abstracts
The MHSRS website (https://mhsrs.amedd.army.mil/SitePages/Home.aspx) will be accepting abstracts for the 2015 meeting until COB EST 3 April 2015. We are soliciting abstract in 28 research topic areas. Submitters will be notified of results by 8 May 2015.

The 2015 MHSRS will feature new breakout sessions on Genitourinary Injuries and Humanitarian Emergency Response, and a special track dedicated to Infectious Disease. It will again focus on the research contributions of our Young Investigators, and serve as a host for the prestigious Region 13 American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma research paper competition. As of this date, the 2015 MHSRS has not yet been officially approved. In addition, the location and date of the conference is still to be determined. However, we anticipate a date within the August, 2015 time frame.

104年(第2次)海外學歷役男申請服一般替代役參考資料:
一、申請時間:104年4月1日上午8時起至104年4月16日下午5時止。
二、檢附證件:(證件請依下列順序裝訂)
(一)一般替代役申請書(於內政部役政署網站登錄後印出)。
(二)經我國駐外館(單位)驗證之最高畢業學歷證件(應屆畢業尚未取得畢業證書者,由學校出具證明文件;請外館在畢業證書影印本(在學證明)驗證後,由申請役男併申請書寄出);資料送件後恕不退還,請自行備份。
(三)最高學歷證件中文自譯本。
三、申請方式及程序:
(一)申請役男須於申請作業期間先至內政部役政署網站(http://www.nca.gov.tw/)「一般替代役申請資訊作業系統」登錄個人基本資料及選服役別(項目)、機關(役別(項目)、機關一經選定送出系統後即不得更改)。
(二)申請役男將應檢附證件於4月16日前完成掛號寄送內政部役政署甄選組(南投縣南投市中興新村光明路21號)才算完成申請手續。
四、以學歷條件申請服一般替代役之役男,其因退(休)學未能取得畢業證書者,撤銷本次服一般替代役資格。
五、經核定服一般替代役之役男,應於入營梯次前2個月返國接受徵兵處理,俟體位判定後依籤號順序分梯次徵集服役;逾本次申請返國最後期限(104年12月31日)未返國者,撤銷本次服一般替代役資格。
六、入營期間:於104年7月至同年12月,依核定之役別(項目)、機關及籤號順序分梯次徵集入營服役。

七、104年(第2次)以海外學歷役男申請單一役別單一需用機關一覽表

公共行政役 國家發展委員會 90 名
學(經)歷及專業訓練:
31經駐外單位驗證之國外研究所畢業,取得碩士以上學位者。
32經駐外單位驗證之國外大學畢業者。
備註:符合前開規定條件者,按31,32順序甄選。

教育服務役 教育部 270 名
學(經)歷及專業訓練:
31經駐外單位驗證之英語系國家大學以上畢業者。
以國外學歷條件服教育部教育服務役之役男,分發山地、離島、偏遠地區、師資缺乏區國中、小學及英語資源中心學校,擔任輔助教學協助地方政府執行偏遠國中、小學英語教學相關活動推廣工作。

文化服務役 文化部 20 名
學(經)歷及專業訓練:
31經駐外單位驗證之國外大學以上畢業者。

觀光服務役 交通部(觀光局) 50 名
學(經)歷及專業訓練:
31經駐外單位驗證之國外大學以上畢業者。

醫療役 衛生福利部 20 名
學(經)歷及專業訓練:
31經駐外單位驗證之國外大學以上醫學學類、公共衛生學類、藥學學類、復健醫學學類、營養學類、護理學類、醫學技術及檢驗學類、牙醫學類、醫管學類、食品科技學系畢業者。

環保役(水利維護) 經濟部(水利署) 30 名
學(經)歷及專業訓練:
31經駐外單位驗證之國外大學以上畢業者。

外交役 外交部(國內單位) 20 名
學(經)歷及專業訓練:
31經駐外單位驗證之國外大學以上畢業者。

The Transfer & Career Planning Center will be hosting a Career & Job Fair on campus Thursday, March 12, 2015. This event will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Barstow College Gymnasium. We have an immediately opening for a junior level Laser System Engineer/Scientist position in Metro Boston area. which will participate in research and development activities from conceptual design, breadboarding for proof of concept, to development of clinical prototype system. This role will assemble mechanical, optical, and electrical components of the laser system, align optics, and perform system tests. The ideal candidate will also design and execute experiments to test new therapeutic and diagnostic applications in tissue, gather and present test data, trouble shoot the failure system.
