AGING AND SOCIETY: FIFTH INTERDISCIPLINARY CONFERENCE - Call for Papers
Proposals for paper presentations, workshops, posters, or colloquia are invited for the Aging and Society: Fifth Interdisciplinary Conference, held 5-6 November 2015 in Washington D.C., USA. We welcome proposals from a variety of disciplines and perspectives that will contribute to the conference discourse. We also encourage faculty and research students to submit joint proposals for paper presentations or colloquia. Proposals are invited that address aging and society through one of the following themes:
Conference Themes
• Economic and Demographic Perspectives on Aging
• Public Policy and Public Perspectives of Aging
• Medical Perspectives on Aging, Health, and Wellness
• Social and Cultural Perspectives on Aging
• Special Focus: Inter-generational Relationships
2015 Special Focus: Inter-generational Relationships
The aging population is increasing at an unprecedented rate. In 2006 there were almost 500 million people aged 65 and older with that number projected to increase to 1 billion by 2030. By 2050 1 in 5 people will be over the age of 60 with more people 60 and over in the world population than between the ages of 0-14. With an increasing aging population its more important than ever for the generations to learn how to relate to each other. Different values and perceptions of the world can lead to difficulties in relationships and links that facilitate understanding across generations need to be created. The 2015 Aging and Society Conference special focus on inter-generational relationships will explore the the barriers, benefits, and ways to facilitate inter-generational relationships.

主講人: Shu-Yi (Wendy) Wang
著重於介紹高齡族群常見造成失能 (disability) 的原因：骨質疏鬆症與跌倒。骨鬆患者最怕跌倒造成骨折，應增加下半身肌力與耐力，也要訓練身體平衡感與心肺功能。內容將以學術專業，輔以臨床經驗，讓聽眾了解預防骨質疏鬆與跌倒的重要性，並現場傳授增加骨質密度與預防跌倒的妙招。目的是幫助聽眾預防失能、並獲取更好的平衡與活動能力，未來不要 “跌” 停。

香港出了什么事？
台湾有台独势力。台独势力是中华民族的死敌。中华民族，一定能够在不远的将来，彻底消灭台独势力，统一祖国。在此之前，任何时候，如果台独势力当选，大陆就会立即动武，跨过台湾海峡，消灭台独势力，统一祖国。请参见，《中华人民共和国反分裂国家法》。请参见，中华人民共和国国务院，台湾问题白皮书，2006，《台湾问题与中国的统一》。
和台独势力一样，香港也有中华民族的敌对势力。这个敌对势力的代表，目前就是香港四人帮。不熟悉的朋友，可以上网阅读研究一下香港四人帮的情况。在台湾，如果台独势力当选，就必须立即动武。在香港，根本就不可能允许香港四人帮参选。希望，相信，香港特区政府，有能力镇压住香港四人帮，禁止他们参选，防止他们搞乱香港。但是，万一，由于难以预料的原因，香港特区政府，镇压不住香港四人帮，不能维护香港社会安定，驻港部队绝不会坐视，必然出兵，粉碎香港四人帮，恢复香港社会稳定。请参见，《中华人民共和国香港特别行政区基本法》，特别是，第18条，第23条。
香港是个发达资本主义社会，有各种社会矛盾，包括阶级矛盾。衷心希望香港各阶级、阶层之间，和衷共济，多搞阶级调和，少搞阶级斗争。即使要搞阶级斗争，也希望在香港基本法和香港法律法规的范围内斗争，要文斗，不要武斗。大陆自己问题很多，很忙，而且根据基本法，大陆也不宜介入香港内部的阶级斗争。如果用占中这种武斗的方式搞阶级斗争，大陆完全无法接受。任何阶级、阶层，如果选择用站在香港四人帮一边来争取本阶级、阶层的利益，那就从人民内部矛盾，变成了敌我矛盾。就像台湾朋友，不论那个阶级、阶层，只要站在台独一边，就立即变成了中华民族的死敌。恳请香港朋友，不要站错队。
大陆也有缺点错误。根据国际权威研究机构发表的一年一度的国际腐败状况报告，二十多年前，大陆很廉洁，比香港廉洁，二十多年来，大陆越来越腐败，现在比香港腐败。香港人民害怕大陆的腐败传染到香港，这种担心是合情合理的。最近一、两年，大陆反腐力度大为加强，举世瞩目。反腐很不容易，只能请香港朋友继续等待大陆反腐的新成果。
受到香港四人帮蛊惑、跟随香港四人帮闹事的学生和市民，不了解世界大势，不了解大陆加港澳台这个大中国的大势。在习近平任期之内，中国总产值可能超过美国。美日欧政府公开都不支持香港四人帮。英国政府公开不支持香港四人帮。香港四人帮绝不会得逞。你们跟着香港四人帮，绝不会有好下场。苦海无边，回头是岸。
