二战后，人们渴望安定，渴望发展生产。如果战后不打内战，让蒋经国那样的人来治理，也不比毛泽东差。内战后解放初期的中国，经济发展也很好。毛泽东的错误在于打击了民族资本家，破坏了民族工业的应有的高速发展。以后的大跃进，文革等更不用说是发疯了。刚才的文章的作者所说的毛的功绩是当时社会发展的趋势，就像自动化控制的高铁的驾驶员，谁都会开那么快。评毛要根据他要做的，别人想阻止而阻止不了的那几件明显是胡作非为的事情。不能把时代的功绩记到他身上而否认他的错误。中国很多人还没有真正脱离当年凌迟袁崇焕时候吃他的那些人的愚昧水平，包括刚才那个文章的作者，拐弯抹角地挺毛。 |

You are invited to the March 2014 Primary Candidate Forum
亲爱的社区朋友们，3月18号的初选就要开始了。作为社会一员, 我们积极参与选举，使华人和其他亚裔利益被代表，非常重要。近年亚裔人口在 Naperville 和周边地区快速增长，我们已经成为社会重要组成部份。因此，在选举期间，让我们与候选人互动，使我们的声音被更多人听到，增加华人对社会的影响力。3月9号的会面将会包括联邦，州和地方选举人，望大家踊跃参加，体现华人社区的积极参与。
The March Primary Election is right around the corner on March 18, 2014. It is very important for Chinese and other Asian American citizens to participate, get involved, and understand the process and candidates so that we can let our voices be heard and help the candidates better represent us.
In order to make this happen, the candidates are eager to meet with us during the Candidate Forum on Sunday March 9, 2014. The Forum will include candidates running for various federal, state and local positions.
We look forward to seeing all of you at the Forum!

Dear all,
Election for ICSPAH Executive Committee Members will take place at 2014 ICSPAH General Assembly (Wednesday, April 2, 2014) at St. Louis, MO, the United States. There will be three openings available: President Elect, Secretary, and a Member at Large. These positions all have a term of three years.
Those who are interested in the positions please prepare the following three election documents and send them to wenhao.liu@sru.edu or xiaozanwang@163.com by March 8th, 2014.
· A brief election statement indicating the position you are interested in (President-elect, Member-At-Large, or Secretary) and your future commitment to, and/or ideas for, the ICSPAH (a short paragraph with no more than 300 words)
· A one-page vita in English
· A one-page vita in Chinese
Turning in the three documents above in time will serve as a formal indicator that you have become a candidate for the position in which you are interested.

Indeed, smog is useful against laser weapons... but ballistics are still the more efficient tools for war.
A competent military general would have said that smog provides great cover to engage in ambushes in case of occupation and distorts satellite imagery of military positions and movements. A civilian knowing better than a general is a red flag for corruption in the military. |
