伟大祖国必将为促进人类和平与发展的崇高事业作出重要的贡献
由于身在美国，同国人一样，我身边的很多旅美华人非常地观注十八大。今天通过网络一同收看十八大开幕式直播的。听完胡锦涛总书记的报告，内心的激动久久不能平静。过去十年，在中国共产党的正确领导下，伟大的祖国取得了举世瞩目的成就，并已成为世界第二大经济体。这在十年前是任何海外侨胞很难想象的，但今天实现了。这也充分表明了中国特色社会主义的优越性和生命力。更可喜的是，通过胡总书记的报告，我们看到，中国共产党的执政经验正变得更加丰富，中华民族正变得更加自信，未来中国的道路必将越走越宽广。
胡总书记报告的一段话，特别引起了海外侨胞的共鸣。报告中强调，人类只有一个地球，各国共处一个世界；历史昭示我们，弱肉强食不是人类共存之道，穷兵黩武无法带来美好世界；要和平不要战争，要发展不要贫穷，要合作不要对抗，推动建设持久和平、共同繁荣的和谐世界，是各国人民共同愿望。这也道出了每一个海外侨胞的心声。中华民族历来热爱和平，渴望发展，但现在中国的发展让一些国家心态失衡、横加阻遏。虽然祖国的和平发展面临着巨大的挑战，但胡总书记在报告中依然表示，要继续促进人类和平与发展的崇高事业，坚定不移致力于维护世界和平、促进共同发展。这正是一个崛起中大国的成熟表现，一个负责任大国的成熟表现。我们为有这样的祖国感到无比骄傲和自豪！
我们坚信，在十八大即将选举出来的新一代领导集体的正确领导下，伟大的祖国必定会朝着中华民族伟大复兴的光明大道上继续阔步前进！中国人民必定会同世界各国人民一道为人类和平与发展的崇高事业作出积极贡献！

A MESSAGE FROM THE OFFICE OF ATTORNEY GENERAL STATE OF MICHIGAN :
While driving on a rural end of the roadway on Thursday morning, I saw an infant car seat on the side of the road with a blanket draped over it. For whatever reason, I did not stop, even though I had all kinds of thoughts running through my head. But when I got to my destination, I called the Canton PD and they were going to check it out. But, this is what the Police advised even before they went out there to check. There are several things to be aware of Gangs and thieves are now plotting different ways to get a person (mostly women) to stop their vehicle and get out of the car. There is a gang initiation reported by the local Police Department where gangs are placing a car seat by the road with a fake baby in it waiting for a woman, of course, to stop and check on the abandoned baby. Note that the location of this car seat is usually beside a wooded or grassy (field) area and the person - woman - will be dragged into the woods, beaten and raped, and usually left for dead. If it's a man, they're usually beaten and robbed and maybe left for dead, too. DO NOT STOP FOR ANY REASON! DIAL 9-1-1 AND REPORT WHAT YOU SAW, BUT DON'T EVEN SLOW DOWN.
Oh yea, about the EGGS: "IF YOU ARE DRIVING AT NIGHT AND EGGS ARE THROWN AT YOUR WINDSHIELD, DO NOT STOP TO CHECK YOUR CAR, DO NOT OPERATE THE WIPERS AND DO NOT SPRAY ANY WATERBECAUSE EGGS MIXED WITH WATER BECOME MILKY, AND BLOCK YOUR VISION UP TO 92.5%, AND YOU ARE THEN FORCED TO STOP BESIDE THE ROAD AND BECOME A VICTIM OF THESE CRIMINALS. THIS IS A NEW TECHNIQUE USED BY GANGS, SO PLEASE INFORM YOUR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES. THESE ARE DESPERATE TIMES AND THESE ARE UNSAVORY INDIVIDUALS WHO WILL TAKE DESPERATE MEASURES TO GET WHAT THEY WANT." Please talk to your loved ones about this. This is a new tactic being used. Please be safe.
WARNING # 3: Some knew about the red light on cars, but not Dialing 112. It was about 1:00 p.m. In the afternoon, and Lauren was driving to visit a friend. An UNMARKED police car pulled up behind her and put his lights on. Lauren's parents have always told her to never pull over for an unmarked car on the side of the road, but rather to wait until they get to a gas station, etc. Lauren had actually listened to her parents advice, and promptly called,112 on her cell phone to tell the police dispatcher that she would not pull over right away. She proceeded to tell the dispatcher that there was an unmarked police car with a flashing red light on his rooftop behind her. The dispatcher checked to see if there were police cars where she was and there weren't, and he told her to keep driving, remain calm and that he had back up already on the way. Ten minutes later 4 cop cars surrounded her and the unmarked car behind her. One policeman went to her side and the others surrounded the car behind. They pulled the guy from the car and tackled him to the ground. The man was a convicted rapist and wanted for other crimes. I never knew about the 112 Cell Phonefeature. I tried it on my AT&T phone & it said, "Dialing Emergency Number." Especially for a woman alone in a car, you should not pull over for an unmarked car. Apparently police have to respect your right to keep going on to a safe place. *Speaking to a service representative at Bell Mobility confirmed that 112 was a direct link to State trooper info. So, now it's your turn to let your friends know about"Dialing, 112". You may want to send this to every Man, Woman & Youngster you know; it may well save a life. This applies to ALL 50 states. |

美国总统大选当地时间11月6日以罗姆尼败选、奥巴马连任宣告结束。美国《福布斯》杂志称，美国总统大选中谁的言论更能打动选民的心，谁便能胜选，因为罗姆尼这点做得不好，所以输掉了大选。如果罗姆尼的竞选史被书写，将会被描述为“最无逻辑、最具侮辱并且最不尊重事实”的一次竞选，即使由共和党操笔也不可避免。同时《福布斯》还总结了罗姆尼在竞选中说过的最“失败”的10句话：
第1句：“因为我曾是商人，所以给我投票吧，即使我不会告诉你任何关于我如何经商的信息。”

Have you ever read in the newspaper that a political leader or a prime minister from an Islamic nation has visited Japan ? Have you ever come across news that the King of Iran or a Saudi Arabia prince has visited Japan ?
Japan , a Country keeping Islam at bay. Japan has put strict restrictions on Islam and all Muslims.
The reasons are:
a) Japan is the only nation that does not give citizenship to Muslims.
b) In Japan permanent residency is not given to Muslims.
c) There is a strong ban on the propagation of Islam in Japan .
d) In the University of Japan , Arabic or any Islamic language is not taught.
e) One cannot import ‘Koran’ published in Arabic language.
f) According to data published by Japanese government, it has given temporary residency to only 2 lakhs Muslims, who need to follow the Japanese Law of the Land. These Muslims should speak Japanese and carry their religious rituals in their homes.
g) Japan is the only country in the world that has a negligible number of embassies of Islamic countries.
h) Japanese people are not attracted to Islam at all.
i) Muslims residing in Japan are the employees of foreign companies.
j) Even today visas are not granted to Muslim doctors, engineers or managers sent by foreign companies.
k) In the majority of companies, it is stated in their regulations that no Muslims should apply for a job.
l) The Japanese government is of the opinion that Muslims are fundamentalist and even in the era of globalization, they are not willing to change their Muslim laws.
m) Muslims can not even think about getting a rented house in Japan .
n) If anyone comes to know that his neighbor is a Muslim then the whole neighbourhood stays alert.
o) No one can start an Islamic cell or Arabic ‘Madarsa’
in Japan
p) There is no personal (Sharia) law in Japan .
q) If a Japanese woman marries a Muslim then she is considered an outcast forever.
r) According to Mr. Komico Yagi (Head of Department, Tokyo University ) “There is a mind frame in Japan thatIslam is a very narrow minded religion and one should stay away from it.”
s) Freelance journalist Mohammed Juber toured many Islamic countries after 9/11 including Japan . He found that the Japanese were confident that extremists could do no harm in Japan .

Dear Colleague,
To help promote the discovery of ocular disease and drug development, GTC is bringing together leading scientists, researchers, and experts to discuss and collaborate on the latest research and discovery, safety assessment, and drugs in development for combating and curing age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, DME, uveitis and other eye diseases at the 5th Ocular Diseases and Drug Development Conference (March 21-22, 2013 in San Francisco, CA). The last annual conference was well attended with representation from key R&D folks from GSK, Pfizer, B&L, Allergan, Alcon and this year is showing promise to be even bigger and better.
