加州州立大學（California State University）不日將開始向其中部分校區的護理專業學生授予博士學位。
加州州立大學信託委員會投票通過設立護理專業博士點（DNP），此舉旨在培養勝任加州護理學院教職的人才。
美國醫護從業人士管理局（U.S. Bureau of Health Professionals）預計加州在未來10年中護士的缺口將要達到10萬。
加州州立大學表示，增加護理學院的教職工人數將會有助於增加加州護士人數。
加州護士協會（California Nurses Association）的麗茲·雅各（Liz Jacobs）表示，該協會歡迎培訓護理教師的新專案，但她認為加州政府需要向護理教育投入更多資金。

Annual International Festival
Around the Corner, Around the World
February 13, 2011
NAPERVILLE, Ill. (Jan. 20, 2011)-North Central College will host its 15th Annual International Festival on Feb. 13, offering the community an opportunity to become immersed in a variety of cultures from across the globe. During the festival, visitors can sample authentic international cuisine, enjoy ethnic dancing and live music, experience a language immersion room and take part in games and crafts from around the world. Xilin Art Center is going to perform Chinese folk dance at the Festival. Please come and enjoy the culture from around the world.

Time: 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13

Admission: Adult $5 Children $3
Children 3 and under are free. Food from an international menu will be available for purchase, as well as raffle tickets to win prizes. All proceeds support North Central College scholarships for international study.

瑞柏市青少年畫展徵作品
李恕愛與瑞柏市國際姊妹市委員會的秘書長麥科（Richard J. Mikolajczyk）、負責「瑞柏市青年畫家畫展」活動的貝恩（Bill Bien)，日前聯合邀請華裔學生參加今年的青年畫家畫展比賽，貝恩表示，這場繪畫賽已經舉辦多年，主要配合全球國際姊妹市委員會的活動，每年向全世界各地邀請青年畫家參賽。貝恩表示，今年的徵畫主題為「綠化社區」（Shaping your community for a greener future），凡在 2011 年 4 月 30 日前年滿 13 歲到 18 歲就讀瑞柏 203、204 學區的學生，都可以參加這項競賽，收件截止日為 3 月 18 日。
麥科說，去年瑞柏國際姊妹市的青年畫家畫展，一共收到60 多件畫作參賽，這些作品，都會懸掛在瑞柏市市府大廳展覽，所有收到的作品中，將由評審委員選出其中最佳的 1 幅作品，然後送往加州參加全美決賽，將有機會到歐洲參加世界國際姊妹會的總決賽。
李恕愛鼓勵喜歡畫畫的華裔學生，能夠踴躍參加這次的競賽，李恕愛說，參與社區活動，是融入當地社會重要的一環，也是展現華裔關懷社區的最好方式。

这首歌是歌手林宥嘉 唱的《唐人街》，歌词写得很感性，不像我们国内人的“亚洲雄风震天吼”的风格，其中 “我不惜环游全世界 踏破了铁鞋 来赴这前生之约”、“ 可是你飘泊在天涯 一万零一夜 一定想回家过节” “虽然很廉价 总算像个家 普天下的唐人街”这些句子，我特别喜欢。
