毀損國幣是犯法的... <主題：假鈔>
上週我在廣州花都機場，因飛往天津的班機延誤，閑得無聊，就往機場某店閒逛，最後挑了兩本書。
“一共是 58.90元，”收銀小姐微笑著說。
我遞上一張百元鈔票。她接了，在手裏摸一摸，撚一撚，對著光看了又看，又用指尖彈了彈，然後盯了我一眼，滿眼的懷疑，接著又從抽屜裏翻出一個驗鈔機，把那張鈔票放了上去。
這是一張假鈔，這是一張假鈔&hellip&hellip「驗鈔機閃著紅光不斷重複著這句話」。
我的臉霎時變得火燙，好像自己做了小偷被當場捉住一樣。
「這是我在香港中行兌換的，怎麼會是假的呢？」我嘟嚷著。
收銀小姐鄙夷地看了我一眼說：“假鈔一律沒收。”說完“刷”一聲就把錢撕成兩半兒扔進了紙簍。
我急了：「唉，你怎麼就撕了？」
她的臉色愈發地難看：「不撕難道你還想拿到別處去坑人嗎？」
我分辯說：“就算是假鈔你們也沒權沒收呀，只有銀行才有這個權力。”
見我很堅持，收銀小姐只好將已撕成兩半兒的錢還給了我。
今天一早，我用透明膠將錢重新粘好，然後香港中銀&hellip&hellip工作人員經過認真檢測後告訴我：“這是一張真鈔。”
這怎麼可能？我跟老公說起這件事。
老公說：“啊，我深圳公司一個同事上次在花都機場也被撕過一張 100元的‘假鈔，後來還對着我們納悶說：怎麼剛從公司樓下工銀行提款機上取的錢也有假的？但也讓小姐給撕了，各人也就沒人多想。”
我這才頓悟道：“原來她們故意把真鈔說成假鈔，然後撕爛，等顧客走了以後就可以粘起來繼續使用了。
可是那驗鈔機總不該說謊！“關於這方面倒容易。”老公說：“只要將驗鈔機電路枚稍加改動，機器也會說謊，真的不就變成假的了！

洛杉磯華人子弟榮獲國際青少年作曲家大賽第一名
師從著名中國作曲家張慶祥教授的洛杉磯華人子弟、今年16歲的音樂神童張鵬堅（JamesZhang ）2010年5月1日在Colorado 州舉行的美國第十五屆PPYC國際青少年作曲家大賽上獲得第一名。據悉，這是有史以來洛杉磯華人子弟在作曲比賽中首次獲得第一名。為了向社區介紹這一喜訊，張慶祥音樂工作室茲定於2010年5月8日星期六中午11時在阿凱迪亞採味樓餐廳舉行記者會。歡迎各位前來報導，並與獲獎者見面。
美國PPYC青少年作曲家大賽始於1995年。自2000年起改為國際比賽，今年為第15屆。在國際青少年作曲界享有盛譽。近年來，華人子弟在國際各項大賽中表現突出，但在作曲這一專業領域奪得榜首的情況並不多見。 James Zhang 此次表現讓作曲界的人士對華人的觀感應有一定的改變，是值得我們華人，尤其是洛杉磯華人驕傲的。

在南加州LA County Freeway 汽車拋錨時的"免費"協助
我今早在605 Freeway 高速行駛中輪胎壞了,我減低速度然後慢慢行駛到安全的路肩(較寬大的路肩)停放,不到五分鐘,一台Tow Truck 就來了,我原本以為是我先生幫我找的保險公司,結果不是,他是Metro Freeway Service Patrol, 他幫我把備胎找出來,然後把備胎打氣,再幫我把輪胎換掉,總共大約花了10分鐘時間,完全免費. 他給我了一份資料,上面註明若在Freeway有拋錨問題,可用手機打#399(建議把這號碼寫下來放在車上),他們會即時來提供協助,至於服務內容如下
此服務限LA COUNTY Free Metro FSP Services include:
Changing flat tires
Jump-starting cars
Refilling radiators and taping leaky hoses
Putting a gallon of fuel in gas tanks
If the FSP cannot get the car running within ten minutes, it will tow the car, absolutely free of charge to a safe drop location off the freeway

2010 World Expo (features nearly 200 nations) had its opening ceremony in my home city Shanghai (the Chinese massive and dazzling commercial capital) last weekend. It is a six-month event which displays uniquely designed lavish architectures, cutting edge state-of-the-art technologies (i.e. “zero carbon emissions” building) and showcases countries'''' spectacular culture and heritage in the structures, some also with the food, drink provided having the geographical characteristics (German, Irish and Belgium Beers... Australia, America, Bulgaria Steaks...). It is estimated over 70 million visitors will make the attendance and already there were almost half million had crowding into the World Expo for the first two days...this is an event not to miss because most of the pavilions are slated for removal or demolition after the Expo closes in Oct.
We are diverting from the past weeks badminton notices to this previous email chain about two years ago with the Sichuan earthquake and Beijing Olympics for the similarity of the earthquake occurred in YuShu, and comparing to the Beijing Olympics, the World Expo is going to rival in its extravagance, and most likely, to exceed in its long term business wide influence along with the short term economy stimulus.
