LACASA年會10月8日舉行 張軍律師接任新一屆會長

洛杉磯縣警局華人顧問委員會（LACASA）于9月7日宣佈，將於10月8日晚在洛市中心的波納凡丘酒店（Bonaventure）舉行第13屆年會暨社區服務表彰晚宴，律師張軍將接替卸任會長何興華擔任新一屆會長，成為該會首位具有大陸移民背景的會長。今年年會的主題是『亞裔和少數族裔積極參與公眾服務』，主講人為曾擔任辛普森案主審法官的著名法官伊藤（Lance Ito）。
7日的新聞發佈會由LACASA理事江啟洸主持。即將卸任的會長何興華表示，在過去的兩年來，LACASA協助警政單位在華人社區舉辦了各種警民互動的活動，其中包括舉辦社會治安講座、介紹犯罪防範和自我保護、組織社會人士參觀監獄及與警察一同進行射擊訓練等；LACASA也關注社會弱勢群體并從事慈善活動，每到節假日，都為老人舉辦慶祝活動，向老人發放節日禮物。
在介紹新任會長張軍時，何興華表示，張軍做為律師，不僅為LACASA做了很多工作，為社區的服務及貢獻大家也是有目共睹。張軍當選新一任會長，應該是眾望所歸。特別應該提到的是，張軍是該會首位具有大陸移民背景的會長，這更加有利於該會開展工作。
張軍在談到新一屆理事會的工作時表示，首先是要承傳和發揚LACASA成立13年來的傳統工作作風和所起到的橋樑作用，特別是要通過開展一系列的活動來保持警民互動。其次是要根據華人社區移民變化的情況，採取有力的措施，去解決新出現的問題。他說，華人移民的情況與13年前很不相同，因此也就產生了新的問題，需要用新的視角和新的思路來分析這些問題，採用新的辦法來解決這些問題。比如，大陸移民「富二代」的犯罪問題，就是一個新問題；也是華人社區犯罪的一個新特點，LACASA將協助警政單位解決好這些新的問題。第三是要加強與兩岸三地警政部門的聯繫和互訪，協助洛縣警政部門加深對華裔移民社區的瞭解。
另據張軍介紹，洛縣警局局長李貝卡及洛縣警局的20多位警官也將與會，因此年會也是一次與警局互動的極好機會。他歡迎關心社區治安、希望對警局有更多瞭解的民眾踴躍參加年會活動，有關詳情可洽（626）810-7572。 |

APEX's 18th Annual Awards Gala and Awards Show - Tomorrow Happens Now
Come for the food, the friends, the clothes, the silent auction, and of course, the cause! The 18th Annual APEX Gala and Awards show, is finally here and less than a week away! Join us on Saturday, September 24th, at the beautiful Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles as we celebrate another great year, and honor those who continue to give back to the community, from Corporate Leadership (this year's honoree is Chick-Fil-A), to Excellence in Community Service (Lincoln Heights Tutorial Program), to the APEX President's Award (George Yin, Director of LA Membership for APEX).
