Nominate Faculty for the Steven B. Sample Teaching & Mentoring Awards
The nomination form for the 2014-2015 Steven B. Sample Teaching and Mentoring Award is available at http://www.usc.edu/student-affairs/parents/tma.html. The deadline to submit a nomination is Wednesday, April 9. A signature program of the USC Parents Association, these are the only faculty recognition awards initiated by parent nominations and comments by their students. Faculty recipients receive a $1,000 honorarium, recognition in the Trojan Parent Perspective e-newsletter and their name inscribed on a plaque at the University Club. Register for the USC Concert Band Performance
Enjoy the annual performance by the USC Concert Band at 3pm on Sunday, April 27 at Bovard Auditorium. The USC Trojan Marching Band will perform the rousing grand finale. The “I Love LA” multimedia concert features the music of the City of Angels, illustrated with images of its storied past and vibrant present. Led by Dr. Arthur C. Bartner, the concert showcases talented guest stars and new artwork from the band’s official artist Robert W. Jensen. Group parent tickets are $25 each. The USC Career Center is seeking parents with a background in human resources, or related fields, to join the Executive Volunteer Program. Volunteers provide professional advice to students（from freshmen to Ph.D. candidates）regarding their resumes and cover letters. The time commitment is one day per week for four hours（preferably 11:30am - 3:30pm）up to five weeks. Volunteers must have a bachelor’s degree with 7 + years of experience in human resources, recruiting, onboarding, talent management, workforce development, outplacement services or related fields. Interested applicants should email their resume to careers@usc.edu with “Executive Volunteer Program” in the subject line.

USC Summer Programs for High School Students – Live the Trojan Experience!
USC Summer Programs offers two and four week college immersion programs for high school students. Courses are taught by USC faculty and members of the academic community. Students engage in the university experience through a combination of lectures, hands-on workshops and labs, guest speakers and academic field trips to locations throughout Los Angeles. USC home football games are a wonderful time for families to come together and visit their student on campus while taking in the exciting action of a USC football game. USC Engemann Student Health Center Helps Students
The USC Engemann Student Health Center is a state –of-the-art new facility on the University Park Campus that provides care to students when they aren’t feeling well or are experiencing a crisis.
During business hours：Students can call 213.740.9355 to make an appointment. For immediate assistance, students can come to the Acute Care Center on the first floor to be seen without an appointment.
After hours help：For medical needs, students can contact 213.740.9355. They will be prompted to follow recorded instructions（press #1 for “medical”）. A nurse will assist them with medical concerns and can connect them with an on-call counselor, if necessary.
For counseling needs, students may contact 213.740.7711. Students will be connected to the after-hours counselor who will assist them with any emotional concerns.
For a life-threatening emergency on or near campus：Call the USC Department of Public Safety（DPS）at 213.740.4321. DPS will arrange for an ambulance and help students manage the emergency quickly and effectively. Students should be prepared to identify their location and situation. For an off-campus emergency, 911 should be dialed.
