(English summary:The newspaper, as the first of its kind in the world, appeared in China one thousand years ago during the Song Dynasty. Dr. Wang Runze, Co-Director of the Confucius Institute at Columbia University and professor in the School of Journalism at the Renmin University in Beijing, will trace the history and the development of the news business in China and its influence by Western news reporting.)
