The American Association of Museums is hosting its award-winning Annual Meeting and MuseumExpo™ at the L.A. Convention Center in downtown Los Angeles from May 23-26, 2010. This event is the largest of its kind—attracting over 5000 museum professionals from every state in the U.S. and forty other countries. It will offer an unparalleled week of learning, networking, touring, visits to some of our museums…and just plain fun!

As part of your volunteer service, AAM is generously offering a complimentary single day pass to attend the MuseumExpo™ – a cutting-edge showcase of the latest technology and innovation in museum products and services – as well as program sessions on timely issues in the field from conserving objects to social media networking. This pass has a value of $280. There are a variety of shifts that are still available to include greeting guests to helping monitor educational sessions.

In addition we are still looking for a few volunteers who speak languages other than English—preferably Spanish and Chinese—for some newly introduced activities on global issues.

As a small token of our appreciation, volunteers will receive a specially-designed shirt to wear during and after the conference. Also, volunteers will receive complimentary parking during their shift.
