A rising star in opera, Soprano Jinghan Zhang won many coveted prizes, including the second prize of the Bel Canto Contest and the first prize of the Bellini Vocal Contest. She graduated with a master's degree from the prestigious Pescara School of Music in Italy, in the studio of the famous Mezzo Sandra Buongrazio and the famous coach Rolando Nicolosi, who also coached the three great tenors:Pavarotti, Domingo and Carelas. Ms. Zhang is currently studying with Domingo in New York. In 2012 and 2013, Zhang was the chief soprano for Hollywood Orchestra's concert series in China. She has sung at many venues in the world, including Verdi's Requiem in Rome and at the UN World Peace Concert in New York. At this lecture, Ms. Zhang will discuss the origin and the development of opera, operatic classics and her career in opera. She will also sing for the audience.
