Overview Mobile devices and applications are revolutionizing the way many businesses are conducted, as well as people's daily lives. In 2011, 1 out of every 4 phones worldwide is a smartphone, and it has been predicted that in 2012, smartphones will finally take over feature phones.
In this NECINA conference, we will survey the cutting-edge mobile technology and products being developed by Boston-based high tech companies. The topics of discussion include but are not limited to the following:
- Case study on some of the most popular and exciting Boston-based mobile technology and products
- Comparison between the Mobile enterprise market and consumer market
- The current Mobile ecosystem and trends in Mobile apps and services. What are the new opportunities for entrepreneurs to get in?
The conference will start with a series of talks, where established entrepreneurs will share their insights and experiences on developing mobile products and business models. In the subsequent panel discussion, we invite the audience to have an open dialog with the speakers and panelists. This conference also provides excellent networking opportunities that facilitate the development of business relationship as well as the identification of career opportunities.

Announcing NECINA Entrepreneur Workshop(NEW) Are you looking to develop start-up ideas and get a taste of entrepreneurship?

Welcome to NECINA Entrepreneur Workshop(NEW). NEW is now open for registration to any
2012 NECINA members who have a certain level of technical expertise in their fields, and want to bring new ideas, products, and business models to the market, by moving their career towards a more innovation and entrepreneurship oriented track. NEW is a peer-organized program, with no top-down, well-planned syllabus of lectures for everyone to sit in and absorb(this is not a two-year MBA program -- we certainly never charge you for that much. :-)). Instead, all attendees will contribute to shaping up the program activities -- this is an entrepreneur special interest group.
