Overview

You may have heard of the early stage incubators in the United States such as TechStars, Y-Combinator, and Exelerate Lab. Great companies such as Dropbox, Airbnb, OMGPOP and Reddit are born out of those programs. Given the level of competition in their applicant pool, few start-ups have made it into their doors, and fewer of them are pure Chinese entrepreneurs. Orbeus is one of them. 

Founded in January, 2012, Orbeus aims to develop one of the most advanced computer visual recognition engine that enables every computer to perform facial, scene and object recognition. In half a year's time, they made it to the finalists of TechStar, Y-Combinator, ExeleratorLab and DreamIT. Now they are in contract with ExeleratorLab for a 3-month accelerator tour in Chicago.
