Golf Lessons with APEX
APEX invites you to take a series of three golf lessons with PGA Pro Sean Lanyi.
In today's business world, the golf course is a popular meeting spot to negotiate important transactions and network with industry leaders. While all experience levels are welcomed, these lessons are geared toward beginners who are interested in instruction on basic golf swing mechanics for their next corporate golf outing.
Each one hour lesson will cover a different facet of the game in order to improve your golf skills. Black Gold Golf course can provide golf equipment on an as-needed basis at their world class golf practice facilities.

Operation Christmas Child is a worldwide children’s project that uses simple gift-filled shoe boxes to let impoverished boys and girls know that they are loved and not forgotten. Operation Christmas Child began in the United States in 1993 with 28,000 shoe box gifts. Since then, it has collected and hand-delivered more than 94 million shoe box gifts to needy children in more than 130 countries.
2012 is a very special year as Operation Christmas Child is embarking on its 100 Million shoe box gifts milestone! Come and join us to be part of this history making year. Bring your own shoe box gifts and enjoy a fun-filled day with friends and delicious snacks and drinks.

Recap:19th Annual APEX Awards Gala
The APEX held its 19th Annual Awards Gala "Empowering the Community. Inspiring Change." on September 8 at the Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown Hotel.
The 400 plus guests that attended this year's sold-out event were treated to an evening of great food and entertainment as we highlighted the outstanding leaders and organizations in the community. VIP Guests had the opportunity to sample beverages from Johnnie Walker and Crown Royal while guest emcees, Aaron Takahashi and Jully Lee from Cold Tofu ran the show! Guests also enjoyed special performances by Ryan Fleming & Israel Waahila of Haleamano, Vy Nguyen, David Lee and a drop-in by Far East Movement!
Honorees this year included the Far East Movement(Excellence in Arts & Entertainment), Center for the Pacific Asian Family(Excellence in Community Service), Southern California Gas Company(Excellence in Corporate Leadership)and Dan Au, APEX’s Vice President of Planning & Operations for OC(President’s Award).

Recap:OC Mixer - An Evening of Good Ideas
APEX's latest mixer in Orange County, dubbed "An Evening of Good Ideas", certainly lived up to its billing. Held at Posch Restaurant on Thursday, September 27th, attendees were asked to submit their ideas for future APEX events for consideration, with the top entries winning prizes. The first place winner was Clifford Chinn. Clifford's idea for a team-based mixer, such as trivia night, earned him a 1-year APEX Premium Membership. Congratulations to Clifford and everyone else who submitted an entry!
