Summer Study in China(SSC)~ Summer 2013

Building upon the success of past programs, China Institute will now be hosting three different Summer Study in China(SSC)programs:an intensive language program in Beijing(SSC–Beijing), an experiential travel program in Yunnan(SSC–Southwest), and a language immersion and travel program traveling from Beijing to East China(SSC–East China). Author's Talk and Book Signing:My Royal Family ~ February 24, 2013
The Renwen Society at China Institute presents an author's talk and book signing by Ms. Aisin-Gioro Hengyi, or rather Princess Aisin-Gioro Hengyi, on her recently published book, My Royal Family on Sunday, February 24, 2013, 2-4 pm. Hengyi is a direct descendant of the Qing royal family. Her ancestor of the fifth ascending generation was Emperor Dao Guang(Reigned 1821-1851). Before the establishment of the Republic of China, her family inherited the title of The Prince of Dun. The last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Xuan Tong(Puyi), was her grand-uncle. In this new book of hers, the author sheds a rare light on her rare family. More...
