The third year of Pacific Asia Museum’s innovative summer series that mixes art, nightlife, interactive experiences, performances, food and drink, all housed in the museum’s iconic building and courtyard, proved to be another great success!
Almost 1300 people attended Fusion Fridays, with many guests returning for multiple events in the series. Thirty-one museum memberships were sold at events alone.
The series was listed in cultural outlets such as Pasadena Magazine, LA Magazine, Lighthouse, Goldstar promotions, PCC, Pasadena Now, Pasadena Scene, and The Quarterly, and promoted on Facebook and Twitter.
Pacific Asia Museum partnered with local and far-reaching artists, musicians, DJs, food trucks, and professional organizations in order to create an excellent and diverse experience for its guests.
2013 Pacific Asia Museum Fusion Fridays are:May 17 premiere- Bollywood/Indonesia, June 21- Japan and Pacific islands, July 19- Thailand and Korea, August 16 finale- China and bhangra music. A Fusion Fridays 2012 wrap-up is attached for your reference.
Participating group(s)will enjoy:
· Complimentary one-hour use of museum facility prior to the Fusion Friday(6:30-7:30 pm)featuring DJ music, gourmet food trucks, lantern-lit courtyard, bar, all galleries open
· Admission to the Fusion Friday(7:30-10:30 pm)featuring DJ music, gourmet food trucks, lantern-lit courtyard, bar, performances and activities, all galleries open
· Two hours of Happy Hour drink rate(6:30-8:30 pm)
Price:$15 per person. A $500 deposit is required for an exclusive VIP Pre-Party, or $250 deposit for a co-sponsoring VIP Pre-Party. Deposit is refunded in full if your group ticket sales exceed the deposit amount.
