“World Conference on Physical Education and Sport:Challenges and Future Directions”

Conference Theme:The conference will address current educational practice and future directions of physical education and sport around the world. The purpose is for attendees to gain an understanding and appreciation of the challenges and opportunities for quality P-12, community, and university physical education programs, sport programming, and programs that focus on youth fitness and physical activity promotion around the world.
Conference Topics:The conference will accept papers related to physical education and sport in a broad range of areas. Examples of these topics will include:
1)National policies, culture, standards, and reform in physical education, sport and youth fitness or physical activity promotion.
2)Quality P-12, university, community-based physical education, sport and programs that promote youth fitness or physical activity.
3)Teaching and coaching effectiveness and assessment in physical education and sport.
4)Physical education teacher and coach education:problems and practices.
5)Collaboration and conflict between sport and physical education.
6)School and community partnerships in physical education and sport.
Scope of Conference:The conference will solicit papers from all corners of the world. A call for papers and invited keynote presentations will insure representation from Africa, Asia, Australia/New Zealand, Central and South America, Eastern Europe and Russia, Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and North America.
Call for papers:Abstracts can be submitted no later than April 30, 2014 for oral, poster, and roundtable presentations. Abstracts will be reviewed as they are received and those received early will receive immediate attention. Registration:The conference will be extremely affordable. A $300 registration fee will cover three breakfasts, three lunches, three dinners(including an end-of-conference banquet), a day tour of Shanghai, Opening ceremony, all conference transportation, and of course, the conference. Student registration is $150.
Lodging:Single and double rooms will be available for $100- $200 a night. As a bonus attendees may come early or stay after the conference at this price!
