Participate in USC Alumni Day of SCervice Each year, thousands of Trojans gather across the globe to make a difference in their communities. The USC Alumni Day of SCervice, on Saturday, March 14, is an opportunity for all alumni and friends to participate in local service volunteer projects organized by USC alumni clubs, chapters and other affiliated groups worldwide. Plan Your Family's 2015 Commencement Activites Start planning now for USC’s 2015 Commencement on Friday, May 15. Contact local hotels and restaurants early for your reservations and celebrations. There is no registration required for students to march in the main ceremony, and guest seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. For the main ceremony, each guest may only hold or reserve two additional seats. Some satellite ceremonies require tickets for their guests. USC Summer Programs for High School Students - Live the Trojan Experience! USC Summer Programs offers two and four week college immersion programs for high school students. Courses are taught by USC faculty and members of the academic community. Students engage in the university experience through a combination of lectures, hands-on workshops and labs, guest speakers and academic field trips to locations throughout Los Angeles. Students receive three units of USC elective credit upon successful completion of the four week course. For more information, visit http://summer.usc.edu/parent.
Is your company or business seeking qualified and talented summer interns? Exclusive to USC Dornsife students, the unique summer Gateway Program combines a paid internship with a USC academic program and mentorship. Each student is paired with a distinguished professional or USC Dornsife faculty member and enrolled in a customized Multi-Disciplinary Activities course(one unit summer course with USC Dornsife Faculty)to enhance the internship experience through guest speakers, collaborations with fellow students and personal reflection. Information on Trojan Athletic Fund and 2015 USC Football Season Tickets USC home football games are a wonderful time for families to come together and visit their student on campus while taking in the exciting action of a USC football game. Many parents ask for information on how to get priority seating for the season and the additional benefits associated with an athletic membership. Trojan Family Weekend 2015 Update Trojan Family Weekend 2015 is Thursday, October 22 through Sunday, October, 25. This is a great way for the entire family to share in your student’s USC journey and experience what it means to be part of the spirited Trojan Family. The football game on Saturday, October 24 will be against Pac-12 rival Utah. Registration will open in late July. Free Parking and Shuttle to LAX Available to Students for Spring Recess The USC Department of Public Safety(DPS)and USC Transportation will offer free parking in the UPC Parking Center(UPX)and the HSC Lot 71 to students, faculty and staff from Thursday, March 12, 2015 after 2pm to Monday, March 23, 2015 until noon. There are a limited number of parking spaces. Online reservations end at 5pm on Monday, March 9, 2015. Visit http://adminopsnet.usc.edu/gift for parking reservations.
USC Transportation will offer free shuttle service to the Los Angeles International Airport(LAX)on Thursday, March 12 and Friday, March 13 at 10am, 12pm and 2pm. The shuttle will leave from the Widney Alumni House. There will be no return service from the airport. Online reservations end at 5pm on Monday, March 9, 2015. Learning Workshops Provided at the USC Kortschak Center Learning workshops are available at the USC Kortschak Center for Learning and Creativity (KCLC). The workshops are open to all USC students. The schedule is as follows:

News from the USC Engemann Student Health Center Managing Stress Does your USC student need extra help with managing stress and living a healthier, happy life? USC Student Counseling Services at the Engemann Student Health Center is offering new ways for students to get stress under control. The clinic offers a consultation and assessment first and then your student can be referred to restorative yoga, mindfulness based stress reduction, or have biofeedback training, which helps regulate responses to stress. Mindful USC Did you know that Mindful USC is a new university-wide initiative? Mindful USC includes classes for students each semester and open practice groups. Practice groups are free of charge and are always available to students. Held at different locations on the USC campus, Mindful Meditation can be extremely beneficial to a student’s well-being and offers a much needed break from their busy schedules. Center for Women and Men Scholarship Opportunity The Belle Vivian Scholarship($5,000)scholarship is available for female, first-year students who promote gender equity and justice.
