Ma made the comment while addressing the 13th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals in Shenzhen, south China’s Guangdong province on April 18. He stressed that China will deepen its reform and eliminate systematic and mechanical barriers that obstruct the development of talents. He said the government will implement more open and efficient policies to make it easier for international experts to come to China. The vice-premier also proposed improving the legal system in human resources and intellectual property rights to create a fair, just and open environment for domestic and foreign innovators. Ma said talents are the most important resources, and he attributed China’s economic and social achievement to Chinese as well as those from all over the globe. Tickets for the ladies-only compartment can be booked on 12306.cn－China's official train booking website－on routes like Beijing-Guangzhou, Beijing-Shenzhen as well as Shanghai-Guangzhou and Shanghai-Shenzhen.   Source：Womenofchina.cn （read more）   London-based Museum Displays Shenzhen School Uniform A post that shows a Shenzhen school uniform on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum （V&A）in London has been turning heads on Chinese social media. It was later confirmed that the school uniform will be permanently stored by V&A and will be displayed in an exhibition called "All of This Belongs to You" until July 19. The iconic school uniform was one of V&A's exhibition entries back in 2013. As one of the exhibitors of the 2013 Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture, V&A sent its staff to visit Shenzhen two years ago and invited local residents to choose an object that was important to modern-day Shenzhen.   Source：www.womenofchina.cn （read more）   Shenzhen Decides Street Performers' Schedule By Lucky Draw Street artists in Shenzhen will be given licenses to perform in designated spots in Futian District. According to Guangzhou Daily, they'll even be given a performance schedule decided by drawing lots. This makes Shenzhen the second Chinese city to regulate street performers after Shanghai.   Source：CRIENGLISH.com （read more）   Shenzhen Ranked as City with Highest Overtime Rates on Labor Day Holiday A new survey by Chinanews.com says Shenzhen employees received the highest minimum overtime wages for working on the Labor Day weekend, compared to workers in other mega-cities like Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Beijing and Heilongjiang. Shenzhen's labor bureau is expected to enforce its new monthly minimum wage standard of 2030 yuan per month and an overtime payment of at least 280 yuan for working on the Labor Day holiday on May 1. Workers in Shenzhen can pocket 653 yuan if they work throughout the three day holiday from May 1-3.   Source：CRIENGLISH.com （read more）     SHENZHEN BUSINESS NEWS   IDF Shenzhen 2015：Intel celebrates 30 years in China at IDF Shenzhen Though interference from the US government may block Intel from parts of the lucrative high-performance computing market in China, on stage Krzanich said that Intel and China maintain a strong relationship and high levels of cooperation. On stage at IDF Shenzhen, Krzanich and Rockchip’s CEO said that they had scored hardware wins from from 20 companies, with more than 45 tablet, phablet and smartphone designs currently in development based on the Intel Atom x3 processor reference designs. Following in the footsteps of the Intel Innovation Fund for smartphone and tablet vendors, Intel announced a program to accelerate the development of maker projects powered by Intel’s Galileo and Edison platforms. It’s not clear how these funds will be disbursed, but Intel said it is investing $20 million（120 million RMB）into the project. Intel also announced that China online mega retailer JD.com would be using Intel RealSense technology in its wharehouses to organize and sort supplies into boxes.   Source：VR World （read more）   Renderings revealed：Shenzhen Hazens’ Flagship $700M project in Downtown LA Metropolis and Fig Central — both a pretty $1 billion a piece — aren’t the only massive Chinese developments that will redefine South Park in Downtown LA in the coming years. Renderings for another massive $700 million development in South Park by a third Chinese developer have been revealed showing three beautiful towers designed by architect firm Gensler. Last summer, Shenzhen Hazens purchased the Luxe Hotel at 1020 S Figueroa across from LA Live and two adjacent parcels north and south of the hotel forming a large contiguous L-shape development site. Shenzhen’s start-to-finish supply of everything that is needed to manufacture electronics means that it takes much less time and money to acquire materials, create prototypes, and get products onto the market than anywhere else in the world.
