the national tour of its photography exhibition, The Beauty of Chinese Gardens. Taken by David Engel in the 1980s, the 40 black-and-white photographs demonstrate the splendor of the elaborately composed landscape of Chinese gardens, the wonder of exquisite craftsmanship, and the traditional Chinese aesthetics hidden in the architecture.
