Announcement and First Call for Abstracts for

IASAPYC’s First World Congress

October 25 – 28, 2018 （Springfield, Massachusetts, USA）

Sport and play are widely acknowledged to be crucial for children’s healthy development and have attracted increasing attention from academic, business and sports communities. Thus, the International Association of Sport and Play for Young Children （IASAPYC） will organize its first world congress in Springfield College, Springfield, Massachusetts, USA, on October 25-28, 2018. Under the Theme “Sport and Play: Bridging Body and Brain”, the Congress is aimed at promoting the development of sport and play for young children, enhancing quality research on sport for children, and providing a platform for cultural and academic exchanges at global scale.

The Congress will consist of plenary presentations，panel discussions，sub-theme presentations，posters, workshops and demonstration as well as site visit to local

kindergartens in Springfield.    The Congress language will be English and Chinese translation will be provided for the keynote speeches.

Experts and scholars are welcome to register and submit abstracts to the Congress within the following areas:

1）   policy on sport for young children

2）   theories and research on sport for young children

3）   organization and pedagogy of sport for young children

4）   motor development research

5）   design and creation of sports environment for young children

6）   safety and legal issues of sport for young children

7）   kindergarten teacher training and management in the field of sport

8）   technology, equipment and facilities of sport for young children

9）   other related issues
