Dear Colleagues across the globe, wherever you are, greetings, It is with great pleasure to inform you of the availability of Volume 17, Issue 1 (June 2022) of Applications and Applied Mathematics: An International Journal (AAM) in its 17th year of existence. This volume, with attached Table of Contents, contains 17 papers with 271 pages of quality papers, peer-reviewed and in all mathematical sciences, statistics, operations research, physics and engineering. This Issue, as well as others, can be viewed at http://www.pvamu.edu/aam. The next regular issue will appear next year, in December 2022. To strengthening the credibility of AAM and to prevent plagiarism, AAM is using the Turnitin software as part of its review process. Manuscripts with rates higher than 25% of duplications are being rejected. Thus, with this task and pre-review of manuscripts, a high percentage of arriving manuscripts are being rejected before going under full review. This will enhance the processing times of the AAM staff and reviewers. Additionally, under new AAM policy, no part of any published material, such as definitions, theorems, lemmas, and propositions, of other authors already published in books and journals is allowed to be included in a submitted manuscript. However, contents of such materials could be presented in a paragraph with proper citations. Please be informed that, currently, publication in and access to AAM is free of charge and the contents from AAM publications are included in and/or indexed by (in alphabetical order): American Mathematical Society, Mathematical Review (MathSciNet®), Cabell Publishing, Inc., Cabell’s International, CPM, Current Mathematical Publications, EBSCO (http://www.ebscohost.com/) information products, ESCI, Emerging Sources Citation Index, Clarivate Analytics products, (http://wokinfo.com/media/pdf/ESCI_Fact_Sheet.pdf?utm_source=false&utm_medium=false&utm_campaign=false/), JIFACTOR, The Journal Impact Factor, (http://jifactor.org/index.php), Universal Impact Factor (http://uifactor.org/JournalDetails.aspx?jid=232), Zentralblatt MATH (https://zbmath.org/journals/?s=0&c=100&q=AAM), I want to take a moment to say “Thank you” to Dr. Aliakbar M. Haghighi, as he continues to work tirelessly and diligently to make this journal as successful as it is and as he continues to oversee the further success of the journal. I want to congratulate all contributors, reviewers, Editorial Board members, the Journal’s Associate Editors, and my departmental colleagues for their help in various parts of publishing processes of this and other issues of AAM. They share in the success of the journal. I continue to look forward to working with everyone involved as the journal continues to evolve. Sincerely, James R.
