近日,洛杉矶西来大学工商管理系主任,终身教授陈岳云博士访问了中国。他应邀出席了由山东省政府主办,在中国古代著名哲学家思想家孔子故乡曲阜市举办的第十一届世界文明论坛和第一届金融文化论坛。他撰写了一篇论文——《金融文化、伦理与道德风险——美国的实践和教训》,并与其他六位著名学者就金融文化进行了圆桌讨论。第十一届世界文明论坛共有1000多人参加,与会者包括中央领导人、外国首脑、学者和企业高管。
在中国之行期间,陈博士还访问了济南、北京、苏州和上海,并举办了多场研讨会。在山东省社会科学院,陈博士就“大而美丽的法案对美国和全球经济的影响”、“中国、美国、日本和印度经济的比较”和“中国企业走出去”做了三场演讲。他为中央财经大学研究生做了题为“全球地缘政治和经济风险视角下中国、美国、日本和印度经济财政政策的比较”的研讨会。在知行合一学院,他作了题为“全球视野下的中国发展路径”的演讲;在上海,他应上海留学生企业协会和静安人才服务中心的邀请,做了与济南举办的三场研讨会相同的演讲。
在中国访问期间,他会见了许多学者、企业高管和招聘代理,探讨如何为UWest新开的东方哲学与管理博士学位(DEPM)招收学生,并与一些学者讨论了未来可能为DEPM项目进行的客座演讲。
Professor Bill Chen Attended the World Civilization Forum and Financial Culture Forum
Recently, Dr. Bill Y. Chen, Chair and Tenured Full Professor of the Dept. of Business Administration, University of the West, visited China. He was invited to attend the 11th World Civilization Forum and the 1st Financial Culture Forum, held in Qufu City, hometown of the most famous Chinese ancient philosopher Confucius and organized by the government office of Shandong Province. He wrote a paper- “ Financial Culture, Ethics and Moral Hazards-US Practices and Lessons” and held a roundtable discussion along with six other famous scholars on Financial Culture. More than 1,000 people participated in this 11th World Civilization Forum and it was a high-profile event with attendees including top central government officers, foreign dignities, scholars and business executives.
During his trip to China, Dr. Chen also visited Jinan, Beijing, Suzhou and Shanghai and gave several seminars. At the Academy of Social Sciences, Shandong Province, Dr. Chen gave three presentations on “ The Effects of Big & Beautiful Bill on US and Global Economies”, “The Comparisons of China, US, Japan and India Economies” and “ Chinese Companies Go Global”. He gave a seminar to graduate students at China Central University of Finance and Economics on “Comparison of China, USA, Japan and India’s Economic and Fiscal Policies from the Perspective of Global Geopolitical and Economic Risks”. At Zhi Xing He Yi(知行合一)College, he gave a presentation on “China’s Development Paths from Global Perspective”; in Shanghai, he was invited by the Association of Overseas Students Entrepreneurs and Jing An Talent Service Center to give the three seminars, the same as the ones given in Jinan.
During his visit in China, he met many scholars, business executives, and several recruitment agents to explore how to recruit students for UWest’s new Doctor degree of Eastern Philosophy and Mgt(DEPM)and discussed with some scholars for the possible guest speeches in the future for the DEPM program.
