POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Texas at El Paso seeks to hire two lecturers beginning Fall 2011. These non-tenure-track positions primary responsibility is the teaching of freshman and sophomore level mathematics courses, a teaching load of fifteen hours each semester. Good communication skills and excellence in teaching are therefore essential.

The University of Texas at El Paso has an enrollment of more than 22,000 students, and is located in high mountainous country on the US-Mexico border. El Paso and its sister city Cuidad Juarez have a combined population of about two million. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled or the search is terminated.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS：The minimum qualifications for the positions consist of a Master's degree in any field and at least 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics; a Master's or Ph.D. degree in the Mathematical Sciences or related is preferred.
