CSA的各位会员同仁：

　　南加州华裔教授学者协会（CSA）理事会的2012-13年度换届提名及选举工作已经开始。根据协会的章程，这次选举将选出理事会全部的７名理事。CSA理事会竭诚欢迎所有的会员积极提名或自我提名。负责本次选举的专门委员对所有的候选人将一视同仁：提名者的资历不论新老，候选人的入会不分先后。即使您还不是CSA的成员，凡符合入会条件的和有志服务会员的，并在十一月十五日之前填妥入会申请表并送交会费的（申请入会的程序和表格请见http://csasc.org/pages/application.php），您的提名和自我提名都会得到CSA的认可。

　　负责本次选举的委员会将由四位资深（终身）会员组成，都曾担任过CSA的理事工作，并且在本次选举中没有任何利益冲突。他们是：陈岳云教授、陈百助教授、刘轶博士。

选举时间安排:

　　10月25日 - 11月15日：请将提名或自我提名送交选举委员会（csaelection2011@yahoo.com）
　　11月16日 - 11月25日：候选人的陈述和自我介绍送交选举委员会（csaelection2011@yahoo.com）
　　11月26日 - 12月10日：投票选举（csaelection2011@yahoo.com）
　　12月15日：选举委员会向CES理事会报告选举结果

The CSA Election of 2012-2013 Board of Directors

Dear CSA Members,

The term of the current Board of Directors of Chinese Scholars Association（Southern California）will end by December 2011.  Now is the time to elect the entire Board of Directors to ensure a smooth transition of CSA operations.  The term of all the seven Directors, as newly elected, will be from January 2012 through December 2013. 

All the current CSA members are eligible to participate in the election process; as such, the dedicated committee of election will sincerely welcome and encourage your nomination and self-nomination to serve as a director in the new Board.  All current members, including candidates, have the right to vote. The current membership, in addition to incumbent CSA members, should include those who complete a CSA application form and send in the membership due by Nov. 15, 2011. （An application form is available via http://csasc.org/pages/application.php）. As a convention, the details of the voting process will be forthcoming from the Election Committee once a slate of candidates is available.

The CSA Election Committee in charge of this election consists of three senior members, who have no conflict interest in the election：Professor Bill Chen, Professor Baizhu Chen, Dr. Yi Liu and Dr. Sheng-he Huang.

Please be noted that all nomination information and candidate campaign statements are to be sent to csaelection2011@yahoo.com, which is designated for this specific mission and under the supervision of the Election Committee. Any inquiries and communications regarding the election will be directed to the same address.

The time schedule of the election:

• Oct. 25-Nov. 15：Send nominations and self-nominations to the Election Committee（csaelection2011@yahoo.com）.
• Nov. 16-25：Candidates send their campaign statements to the Election Committee（csaelection2011@yahoo.com）.
• Nov. 26-Dec. 10：Voting period（csaelection2011@yahoo.com）.
• Dec. 15：The Election Committee reports the election results to the CSA Board.
