Lecture Summary：Dr. Jiangtao Yu will discuss how to make preparation before heading back to China. He will present the first-hand information on the “reverse culture shock” and how to select location, negotiate terms, and acquire venture investment to jumpstart a start-up company in China. Several cases of his angel investments and a model of international incubator will also be presented.

Speaker：Jiangtao Yu, Ph.D., Director of Silicon Valley Office of Yangtze Delta Region Institute of Tsinghua University, Managing Director of Zhejiang Haihe Venture Investment Management Co. Dr. Yu graduated from Dept. of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology of Tsinghua University with B.S.（1997）and M.S.（1999）, and obtained Ph.D.（2005）from Dept. of Molecular Biology and Genetics of Cornell University. After a short postdoctoral training at Cornell, Dr. Yu joined Intel Corp. and was Sr. Scientist in Digital Health Group, Intel Capital, and Intel Research. In 2010, Dr. Yu joined Yangtze Delta Region Institute of Tsinghua University as Director of Silicon Valley Office, in charge of talent recruiting, start-up incubation, and international collaboration. In 2011, Dr. Yu co-founded Zhejiang Haihe Venture Investment Management Co., focusing on angel and early investment.
