China Undisciplined Graduate Student Conference
The Fifth Annual UCLA Graduate Student Conference on Chinese Studies

The China Undisciplined conference attracts graduate students from all research backgrounds to discuss the latest research in the China field. In particular, applicants are encouraged to submit papers that cross the disciplinary, temporal, national, cultural, social, and linguistic barriers in the imagination of China. This year there are close to 30 participants, from universities in North America, Europe, and China.

Department of Ethnomusicology：Music of China Spring Concert
Start of the 2012 Spring Festival of World Music and Jazz

The concert series, which runs from May 18 to 20 and from June 1 to 5, will feature performances by UCLA's wide array of world music ensembles, plus UCLA jazz combos, the UCLA Jazz Orchestra, the UCLA LatinJazz Big Band and the UCLA Jazz Fusion Ensemble. All performances will take place in Schoenberg Hall and are free and open to the public.
