Small businesses truly are the engines of our economy. They create two out of every three new jobs, and the innovations they provide make us the envy of the world. But in this tough economy, businesses are suffering from a lack of capital and fewer customers. That's why I am working tirelessly to help our small businesses succeed as one of the newest members of the House Small Business Committee in Washington.
But more than that, I believe in doing all that I can to help our local business owners here at home. I regularly hold additional events and workshops to help business owners, including seminars on government contracting and jobs boot camps to help connect businesses who are hiring with local residents seeking employment. If you or someone you know would be interested in attending one of my free events in the future.
In Friendship,
Judy Chu, PhD Member of Congress
