— Executive Dean and Academic Backbones for Advanced Materials and Nano Science College（AMNSC）

　　Founded in 1931 as the national first school of engineering and technology, Xidian University, China, with the Radio School of the Military Commission of the CPC Central Committee as its original name, became one of 20 National Key Universities in 1959. Since its founding, Xidian University, under the direct jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, has grown into a National Key University with disciplines of information and electronics as the major ones and with coordinated development of multidisciplines of engineering, science, management, and arts. It benefits from “211Project” and “985 Innovation Platform For Superiority Subjects”, the national efforts to strengthen higher education.

　　To enhance the overall priority of Electronics and Information Science and its international competitiveness, Xidian University is to set up Advanced Materials and Nano Science College（AMNSC）according to its development planning. Thus, Xidian University seeks applicants for Executive Dean of AMNSC, and 5 to 10 academic backbones in this field.

1. Basic Credentials

　　①The candidates（the coming Executive dean）should:

• have a PhD Degree, no more than 45 years of age（age limit could be negotiable for particularly outstanding applicants）;
• have considerable experience in faculty management with demonstrable  administrative and communication competence;
• shoulder academic research, be responsible for subject construction, and be capable to lead the faculty to develop innovative research in the forefront;
• steer the development of discipline and enhance the international influence of AMNSC;
• have outstanding research records in academic research and teaching;
• be professor or in equivalent position at a reputable university or a scientific research center home or abroad;
• have strong capability of international communication and cooperation.

　　②The applicants（the coming academic backbones）should:

• have a PhD degree from a reputable university home or abroad, no more than 35 years old in principle;
• have demonstrated excellence in AMNSC research and outstanding research records.

2. Employment Period and Treatment

　　①Executive Dean of AMNSC

• first 3 years' contract.
• The salary of a relevant faculty position as well as a Dean's allowance during service term. remuneration, settling-in allowance, scientific research grants, laboratory condition, etc will be negotiated face to face.

　　②Academic Backbones

• The salary of a relevant faculty position as well as relevant allowance during service term.
