This conference will address interdisciplinary practices across the social sciences, and between the social sciences and the natural sciences, applied sciences and the professions. It will work in a multidisciplinary way, across diverse fields and taking varied perspectives in order to address the fundamentals of the social sciences.
This year''''s Social Sciences Conference will take place in Barcelona, Spain at Universidad Abat Oliba CEU. Barcelona is home to buildings that date as far back as the Roman settlement as well as the World Heritage Site works of architect Antoni Gaudi, including the famous Sagrada Familia Church. Other notable sites include The National Museum of Art of Catalonia, Barcelona Zoo, and the Barceloneta Beach. The conference will include numerous paper, workshop and colloquium presentations by practitioners, teachers and researchers. We would particularly like to invite you to respond to the conference call-for-papers. Presenters may choose to submit written papers for publication in the fully refereed International Journal of Interdisciplinary Social Sciences. If you are unable to attend the conference in person, virtual registrations are also available which allow you to submit a paper for refereeing and possible publication, as well as access to the Journal.
Whether you are a virtual or in-person presenter at this conference, we also encourage you to present on the conference YouTube Channel. 十七届六中全会《决定》解读: 为什么说深化文化体制改革关系实现中华民族伟大复兴
在新的历史起点上深化文化体制改革、推动社会主义文化大发展大繁荣，关系实现全面建设小康社会奋斗目标，关系坚持和发展中国特色社会主义，关系实现中华民族伟大复兴。
全面建设小康社会奋斗目标，是在中国已经实现社会主义现代化建设“三步走”战略部署前两步的情况下，根据新的发展要求提出来的，有两方面基本含义，一是要惠及十几亿人民，二是要在更高水平上实现社会全面进步和促进人的全面发展。中国根据形势发展变化提出了到２０２０年文化改革发展的奋斗目标。文化繁荣发展从来就是全面建设小康社会奋斗目标的重要组成部分，也是全面建成小康社会的重要条件。
中国特色社会主义事业是包括经济建设、政治建设、文化建设、社会建设以及生态文明建设在内的事业，文化建设是中国特色社会主义事业四大支柱之一，承担着为中国特色社会主义事业的发展提供坚强思想保证、强大精神动力、有力舆论支持、良好文化条件的重要任务。没有社会主义先进文化的引领，就没有中国特色社会主义的正确方向；没有正确思想理论的武装，就没有追求国家富强、民族复兴、人民幸福的强大动力和合力；没有主流价值舆论的影响，就没有一个民族、一个国家、一个社会的昂扬正气、蓬勃朝气、浩然正气；没有繁荣发展的文化事业和文化产业，就没有社会的全面进步和人的全面发展。
中华民族伟大复兴必然伴随中华文化繁荣兴盛。这既是深刻的历史哲理，也是重要的工作要求。所以，必须从实现中华民族伟大复兴的历史高度来认识文化建设的重要地位来理解文化改革发展的战略意义，以高度的历史责任感、使命感、紧迫感，树立起高度的文化自觉和文化自信，更好承担起传承中华民族优秀传统文化、推动中华文化繁荣兴盛的历史使命，大力弘扬中华优秀文化传统，从中汲取丰厚滋养，大力弘扬五四运动以来的革命文化传统，从中获取强大动力，大力弘扬以改革创新为核心的时代精神以及改革开放以来文化领域形成的一系列新思想新观点新风尚，不断焕发青春朝气，大胆吸收借鉴一切有利于我国发展的有益经验和优秀成果，大胆学习运用一切最新文化理念和科技成就，立足中国特色社会主义事业伟大实践，努力发展具有中国特色、中国风格、中国气派的优秀文化，不断增强中华文化的民族性、包容性、时代性，在中华民族伟大复兴历史进程中建设中华民族共有精神家园。 |
