加州麗都市双十节升旗
美國南加州榮光聯誼會及空軍大鵬聯誼會主辦
( 麗都升旗兩天壹夜參州遊 ) 2011年10/09 (星期日)~10/10(星期一)
行程報告:
一: 10/9 (星期日), 上午十點正第一部遊覽車由Monterey Park及San Gabriel地區出發, 到第二站Rowland Heights (陳耀華公司停車場) 上車約上午十一點整正 途經 Barstow休息用午餐，預計下午4:00左右到Laughlin旅館。第二部車人員在參加中華會館升旗儀式後即刻返回陳耀華公司停車場上車準備出發，按第一部車路線行駛 到Laughtlin 旅館報到。約六點半兩部車一起出發到 Bullhead City (亞利桑那州) 和當地華僑及麗都市府朋友共進晚餐。
晚餐地點 : China Buffet 自助餐
第二部車隨時保持聯絡，如果未能在六點以前到達Laughlin 旅館, 就直接到 Bullhead ( 牛頭市 )餐廳參加麗都市華僑及市府朋友共進晚餐後再到旅館報到。
二: 晚上8:30到 Laughlin (內華達州的水上賭城) Casio 旅館住宿，住宿以兩人一間寄房為基準，要求一人住一間房者請特加註明，多增加費用由自己添補。
三: 上午7:00在Casino旅館用早餐完畢後，最遲8:30 AM兩部車帶行李上車前往麗都市(Needle 位於加利福利亞州境內 ) 參 雙十升旗典禮。第二部車因為有榮光會旗隊人員要儘量早到升旗現場做預演所以不能耽誤時間。
四: 十點整升旗儀式完畢麗都市官員及朋友和我們由洛山磯前往升旗的朋友共進午餐後順道遊覽亞歷桑那州的Lake Havasu City，在London Bridge 景點停留約一小時後即返回出發地. 預計5:30pm到Rowland ，Heights; 6: 15pm 到Montery Park及San Gabriel。
注意事項:
1.)參加巴士團員每位費用 $100. ( 包含兩天一夜住宿費，餐費，交通費及司機小費 )
2.) 巴士團員當天將發給每位名牌及帽子,車上供應飲用水但可自備點心及水果。
3.) 個人出發Carpool前往參加麗都市升旗典禮者可協助以團体名義代訂住宿旅館,
及參加和麗都市府官員會餐, 每位 $60.00 , 截止日期限制為9月30日) 。

After a Peking U alumnus and a Tsinghua alumnus joined Huawei Europe, they quickly established excellent track record. In fact, the Peking U alumnus has already been promoted in just 1 year. Therefore Huawei Europe would like to hire more IP experts from the US. I understand that relocating may appear a very big change, but the facts are (1) Europe with its rich history and culture is very good for living (2) although you may be a pearl, other people in the Bay Area are also pearls, therefore people may not notice your shine. However in Huawei you will be like a pearl among the grovels. If you work hard and be flexible, you will soon become a star and get admiration that you never get before. In a few years, you may internal-transfer back to the US (but I can''''t guarantee this).

Position: Sr. IP Product Marketing Manager
Work location: Dusseldorf, Germany (Huawei Europe Headquarter).
Responsibility: (1) meet customers, understand their requirements and pain points, design a solution to fit their need, and convince the customer to take the solution (2) Filter and prioritize customer requirements for R&D and take responsibility for product’s competitiveness
Travel: ~50% throughout west Europe, possibly 1-3 weeks in China.
Requirements:
1. 10+ years of work experience in the network industry; previous experience at Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel, Redback a big plus
2. Good understanding of IP networking technologies, e.g. routing protocols, MPLS, VPLS, IP VPN, etc. Good understanding of metro Ethernet or IP backbone networking
3. Good understanding of what’s going on in the industry, e.g. which companies provide what products and advocate what solutions
4. Experience working with a telecom carrier a big plus.
5. Previous experience with product management or product marketing
6. Some familiarity/involvement in standard organization (like IETF) would be a plus
7. Fluent spoken English, good communication skill

Changes in Health & Safety
Beginning in July, the American Red Cross embarked on a process of realignment and revitalization of its Health & Safety Training Services. The objective of the changes being implemented is simple: enhance the consistency, quality and reach of Red Cross training programs, while recovering costs. To get there, we:
• Began standardizing our course portfolio – which will bring greater consistency among similar courses while rolling out nationwide courses that were previously offered in just a few geographies.
• Began standardizing baseline pricing for courses – which will enable more equitable program cost recovery, while never denying Red Cross training to any community that needs it.
• Created a divisional operations and delivery structure, so that instructor resources, capacity, and service can be managed based on customer demand.
• Centralized instructor and customer support into a Training Support Center – a single 800-number where staff are trained to address a wide variety of customer and instructor needs during longer call-in hours.
Our guiding principle through all these changes has been to remain true to our mission – to deliver life-saving training to more people, in more communities. The Red Cross stands by its commitment that no at-risk community has been or ever will be denied access to Red Cross training because of inability to pay. In fact, we hope to double our reach by improving our financial ability to do so!

New Training Support Center Goes Live
Effective September 15, Red Cross instructors and customers should call a new Red Cross Training Support Center (TSC) by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) for all their questions and support needs. The TSC can help instructors with course registrations, course records entry, ordering training supplies, and equipment purchases, as well as discuss any questions or concerns. The call center is open from 7 am to 11 pm ET Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 8 pm ET on Saturdays, 10 am to 6 pm ET on Sundays. You can also email the TSC at support@redcrosstraining.org.
In addition, our dedicated instructor website, instructorscorner.org, continues to be enhanced to provide easy access to all program information instructors may need, including downloading free digital course materials, purchasing printed materials online, and accessing the online Learning Center. |
