Asian Business Association: Small Business Exchange
Asian Business Association is a non-profit membership based organization that has been proactively assisting Asian American small businesses to gain access to economic opportunities and advancement for over a quarter of a century.
On Friday, July 29th, they will be hosting their Small Business Exchange at the Pacific Palms Hotel & Conference Center in the City of Industry.
The event will highlight steady and rising stars of Southern California businesses and give them a platform to showcase their products and services. Every element is targeted to help entrepreneurs get excited about business, expand networks, gather leads and ultimately secure a contract.

大桥挨个倒，只因问责“躲猫猫”
杭州钱塘江三桥发生塌陷事故，类似的桥梁垮塌事故已屡见不鲜。又一座大桥趴下了，或许承建公司会觉得时运不佳，事故缠上了自己。我却要说，这与运气顺背没关系，却与自身的质量精神、企业品质有关。此前凤凰碎桥事故曾一塌惊人，正在人们盼着揪出致塌“黑手”，杜绝下一次事故发生时，九江又上演了断桥“大戏”。甚为蹊跷的是，承建这两座桥的建筑公司面对批评之声仍然气定神闲，未见问责一人，未见痛及骨髓的安全管理制度纠偏。果不其然，这次杭州钱塘江三桥又悲情倒下，留下一连串的追问与批评。这些垮塌的桥梁不是同一家公司所建，但先塌的桥显然没有成为“后来者”的前车之鉴。面对事故，当地有关部门还站出来说什么“为了尽快改善交通环境”、“交通压力太大”等，只差没将断桥的责任推给老天爷了——比如连降暴雨、烈阳暴晒等。其实，此类理由不过是块遮羞布。
此类工程之所以此起彼伏，主因不外乎还是规划不周、设计不良、监管虚设、偷工减料、转包黑洞等。追根究源，不外乎是背后有利益驱动。说句不中听的话，这次事故若再不严格依法问责相关责任人，下一座桥说不定会很快倒下。

帕沙迪納市與姐妹城市北京西城區政府合作，將於今年8月1日至15日在北京舉辦『雙鶴國際音樂會和文化交流』暨『2011年帕沙迪納-西城區音樂夏令營』活動，屆時將由南加多位知名音樂家率１５名南加地區優秀學生赴北京演出。
７月１７日下午，將舉辦行前首演音樂會。這次活動的目的，是在帕市與西城區教職員和學生之間，進行教育文化的多元化和音樂節目的交流，並以此促進姐妹城市之間的交流。受邀的南加音樂家將在中國為學子開課講學，南加的學生也將體驗和學習中國民族音樂。參加音樂會活動中方的成員是北京第8中學的26名學生。
