公开教学 - 希林《中文》集中识字教学法
希林亚裔社区中心中文学校从2009年开始正式在周末中文学校和周日课后班开设《中文》集中识字教学法儿童课程试验班。经过两年的尝试，课后班和周末班的试验课程都取得了喜人的结果。孩子们在试验课程中以韵文的形式集中识读《中文》的生字，再进入正常《中文》教学体系。学生们不仅能够有效识字、自主阅读，课后班的孩子们还学会了写中文小短文。该课程使孩子们在低年级便建立起了良好的中文基础，并养成了很好的中文学习习惯。
在海外华文教育课程中有众多可供选择者。但所有的课程都面临着同样的难题：首先一般来说孩子们每个星期只上两小时的中文课，并且平时缺乏必要的语言环境；其次多数课程采用听、说、读、写同时进行的传统教学法，识字速度缓慢。在学习过程中，孩子们往往学了后面的忘了前面的；还有课程所采用的生字教学方式是零散的，无法把所学生字提纲携领地串联起来（即使老师采用了各种归类法来加强识记，效果仍然有限）。结果，一方面是孩子们的识字量久久达不到自主阅读的要求；另一方面由于自主阅读能力差，孩子们无法通过反复阅读的方式来加强和巩固所学生字，结果忘得快。这个恶性循环是目前影响海外华文教学效果的关键。海外中文教师都极其希望学生们能够提前识字、集中识字、大量识字。只有有了这个基础，其它中文教学目标才能得以顺利实现。
经过十多年的磨练，暨南大学华文学院编写的新版《中文》变得更加完善。但即使这样它也同样面临着上述问题。传统的教学方法拖的时间长，识字量增长速度慢。再加上没有有效的复习工具孩子们学后面忘前面的问题相当严重。
针对以上问题，近年来一些国内快速识字教学方法逐渐进入了美国中文学习市场。但经过试验发现，这些快速识字教程都是针对中国孩子的，并不完全适合美国华裔儿童。不少试验班也因此掩旗息鼓。为了解决这个瓶颈问题，2006年希林中文学校开始了提前识字、集中识字、大量识字的试验。2009年更是确定了以《中文》为基础的集中识字教学法。通过实践希林更加确信，提前识字、集中识字、大量识字是提高海外华裔家庭孩子学习中文效果的有效方法。
这次公开课的学生是第一年的试验班的孩子，在4-5岁年龄段。他们在游戏的环境中学习情绪高，已经学习了《中文》一到四册韵文生字表（800字）。第二年开始即将回到《中文教学正常阶段并加入自主阅读。在以后的学习中，这些孩子会不断巩固所学的韵文，并随时可在脑子里按韵文查找生字。只用将韵文诵读一遍，生字即可回忆起来。
公开课将于5月21日星期六上午10：00在希林亚裔社区举行，欢迎家长参观。参观的家长请于9：45到达。

希林艺术中心公开招考领舞演员
应广大舞蹈爱好者的要求希林中文学校和希林艺术中心即将扩大高级舞蹈班的招生。课程的目的在于培养具有领舞和独舞能力的演员。舞蹈课程的执教老师是希林艺术中心舞蹈老师，杨强。
公开招生活动于5月21日，星期六，下午6：30 -8：30 在希林亚裔中心训练厅举行。监考老师，杨强。所有对舞蹈有兴趣并有一定舞蹈基础的人士都可以前来应征。
应征条件
年龄： 9 - up (儿童及成人）女士和男士有一定舞蹈基础

If you get an e-mail along the lines of ''Osama Bin Laden Captured'' or ''Osama Hanged'', don't open the Attachment!!!!
This e-mail is being distributed through countries around the globe, but mainly in the US and Israel. Be considerate & send this warning to whomever you know.
2.) You should be alert during the next few days
Do not open any message with an attached file called ''Invitation'' regardless of who sent it.
It is a virus that opens an Olympic Torch which ''burns'' the whole hard disc C of your computer!!!!
This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list, that is why you should send this E-mail to all your contacts.
It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it.
If you receive an e-mail called ''invitation'', even though sent by a friend. Do not open it!!!
This is the worst virus announced by CNN, it has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever.
This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus..
This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where other vital information is kept. |
