由中國福建省僑務辦公室主辦的「2011年中國尋根之旅夏令營」，目前已開始接受在美華裔子弟及各族裔青少年報名，名額30個，參與者年齡需在12歲至18歲，國際機票自理，活動期間的交通食宿免費。
此次夏令營的行程為兩周，預定7月中旬從美國出發，中國之行的活動非常豐富，將遊覽北京和福建等省市，可飽覽中國壯麗河山和歷史文化古跡，還將與當地的學生進行交流。

羅蘭崗角聲社區中心於4月9日上午9點至下午2點舉辦社區健康日，當日免費醫療服務包括醫生諮詢、分析驗血報告、心電圖測驗(55歲以上)、骨質密度檢驗、脂肪分析、量血壓、皮膚癌篩檢、物理治療輔導、營養健康輔導以及健康教育諮詢(糖尿病、憂鬱症、老人癡呆、高血壓、膽固醇)。當日參加者都可獲贈一份精美禮品。
4月9日上午11點，將在國際大使命教會（16152 Gale Avenue, Hacienda Heights, CA 91745）舉辦核電站與輻射講座，內容包括到底加州的核電站是否安全？輻射洩漏會否損害居民健康？輻射物質是否一定致癌？資深核能工程師解答這些疑問。

以佛光山西來寺秉持總會長星雲大師推廣人間佛教及淨化人心為宗旨、演唱由星雲大師作詞和全世界愛好歌曲者譜曲的『2011人間音緣卡拉OK歌唱比賽』初賽，將於4月10日上午10點在洛杉磯西來大學大禮堂舉行。佛光山西來寺希望藉由演唱具有佛法意義的歌曲，接引現代人；以清淨的音聲，和諧的意境，唱出心靈的善與美。也希望愛好歌唱的朋友除了唱流行歌曲之外，也有機會接觸清淨的梵音歌聲。西來大學的地址為University of the West 1409 N. Walnut Grove Ave., Rosemead, CA 91770。

「我聽見我的兒女們按真理而行，我的喜樂就沒有比這個大的。親愛的兄弟啊，凡你向作客旅之弟兄所行的，都是忠心的。他們在教會面前證明了你的愛。你若配得過 神，幫助他們往前行，這就好了。」
約翰在這裡提到弟兄姊妹在一起有彼此幫補的愛，這其實也是信仰中很寶貴的產業。基督徒不只獨善其身而已，主給我們一個幫補的榜樣，祂也要我們彼此幫補。當主在地上的時候，在迦拿婚宴裡，祂將水變成酒，用五餅二魚餵飽五千人；祂又用七個餅餵飽四千人，甚至捨棄自己的生命為使我們得著新的生命。哥林多後書8:9說，「你們知道我們主耶穌基督的恩典，他本來富足，卻為你們成為貧窮，叫你們因他的貧窮可以成為富足。」我們既然領受了主的恩典，也應當效法主的榜樣，彼此來幫補。
初代教會有彼此幫補的榜樣，耶路撒冷教會在屬靈上很豐富，所以他們差派同工到外邦之地去傳福音。後來耶路撒冷有飢荒，外邦教會也捐款來解決耶路撒冷教會的危機，這是在主裡面互相幫補的榜樣。約翰在這裡提到教會對客旅幫補的榜樣，我們要求神的靈引導、感動我們，每次禱告的時候，就求神把周圍弟兄姊妹的需要顯明在心中。當你感受到聖靈的感動，或是對某些人有特別的負擔，就要開始為他們禱告。另一方面，你也要求主的靈幫助，知道怎樣幫助這些弟兄姊妹的需要。主祂不但知道每個需要，也知道怎樣幫助他們，知道誰能提供這樣的滿足。當聖靈引導我們、感動我們的時候，求主給我們順從的心，效法耶穌基督彼此幫補、彼此接待的榜樣，讓在我們中間的每一個需要，都得到滿足。

主，我們感謝你，因你自己給我們最好的榜樣。請給我們敏銳的心，讓我們真的知道弟兄姊妹的需要，也給我們順從與喜樂的靈，能將基督的愛成為別人的幫助。感謝禱告奉主得勝的名祈求，阿們！請為您的禱告生活禱告。
