2011 Root-Seeking Summer Camp in SHANGHAI
Summer Camp Summary: In order to promote Chinese culture and art, the city of Shanghai will host the 2011 Root-seeking Summer Camp. Xilin''''s Chinese School in Naperville is honored to be invited to participate and we would like to offer this opportunity to our students. Please join us if you are interested.
Participant Requirement: Overseas Chinese or ethnic Chinese above 12 years old who know Chinese language, independent with good health.
Date Range: 07/09 - 07/15 (7 days in total)
Activity Fee: ¥ 700 per camper
Headcount: 20 students

加州大學 (爾灣) 醫學教授 吳興鏞 著作的《黃金密檔》(江蘇人民出版社, 2009年), 已製作成兩小時的紀實(Documentary) 定于4/2 - 4/4/2011,分集 在中天電視台全球播出.
此書及電視紀實追蹤了國民党政府把國幣金圓券的准備金, 總值約當年的4億美元於1949年密運台灣的史實，含舊有及最新公布密檔（包括《蔣介石日記》,台灣國史館, 南京第二歷史檔案館等）、國軍軍費總監吳嵩慶戰時軍費記錄、陳履安(陳誠 之子) 和其他親歷者的口述及各方史料，綜合交叉論證，以還原60年前的真相。北京社會科學院楊天石學部委員在序中認本書堪稱為唯一一本關于黃金運台的全紀實。

S.K. Ho
Founder & Chairman of Biscom, Inc.
Mr. Ho founded Biscom in 1986. Formerly the Director of Engineering at Wang Laboratories, he designed and developed the Wang Word Processor and Wang Professional Image Systems, and holds nine major patents. Mr. Ho earned a BSME from Ordinance Engineering College in Taiwan and an MSEE from Drexel University.

No offense, the photos you posted here do not match the title of this column.
The title suggests that because of recent recession, Detroit's auto industry experienced terrible situation and as a result, the city is run down or trashed. However, most of your photos, if not all of them, indicated that it happened long time ago, way before the most recent recession. Actually, the date shown in some of the photos indicated that it happened during auto industries' booming era.
So, my point is that you need to do better homework before making the comments. Otherwise, it will make you look stupid, like some of the Chinese reporters.

在2011年4月2日联合国世界自闭症日到来之际，为呼吁全社会都来关注自闭症儿童问题，鼓励社会各界对自闭症儿童事业给予更多关怀，我们富兰克林基金会（Franklin Foundation）和弗拉斯提格学院（Frostig School）将联合举办一场由好莱坞音乐家担纲的轻松活泼的周日音乐会。音乐演唱会将于2011年4月3日下午2:30到4:30在圣马力诺圣爱得蒙的圣公会教堂举行。好莱坞音乐制作人凯文肯特和双簧管演奏家普莱斯女士将带来富有特色的音乐表演。音乐会后，弗拉斯提格学院的老师们将会为孩子们举行特别的音乐、艺术和特殊体育运动活动。欢迎社会各界人士和自己的家人及孩子踊跃加入支持和关心自闭症儿童的爱心行列。
富兰克林基金会今年已经是连续三年举办世界自闭症日主题音乐会。在过去两年举办的音乐会上，美国国会议员赵美心等民选官员到会支持。许多著名旅美华人音乐家都积极投身义务奉献演出。他们中有洛杉矶爱乐交响乐团终身小提琴家薛苏里、大提琴家严凌、长笛演奏家徐存、著名指挥家张庆祥等。
今年，基金会的工作得到了美国主流社会的关注和支持，帕萨迪纳市专门针对发育缓慢儿童进行教??育的弗拉斯提格学院（Frostig School）全面参与组织策划。好莱坞著名音乐制作人凯文肯特和双簧管演奏家普莱斯女士专门为今年的音乐会创作设计了可以和孩子们互动表演的《十二生肖系列变奏曲》。在音乐会上，凯文和普莱斯将演出以中国农历日历的十二生肖动物为主题的音乐小品。普莱斯将用双簧管及英国管的独特音色演绎中国节庆和好莱坞风味共享共存的音乐图画。他们的音乐创作和表演，把印象派艺术、摇滚乐和蓝调音乐等各流派统一到一个爱的主题，她的演奏富有儿童和家庭情趣，受到家庭和儿童观众的喜爱。
这场慈善音乐会对公众开放，免费入场。音乐会日期：2011年4月3日下午2时至下午5时。演唱会地点： 圣马力诺圣爱得蒙圣公会教堂大礼堂
