2011 Lantern Festival
Xilin''''s 2011 Lantern Feistval will be held at Pfeiffer Hall at North Central College on Sunday, April 17th at 5:00PM.
2011''''s Lantern Festival will be the 6th big event Xilin has produced. Each year, the Children and Adult Dance Troupes from Xilin Art Center, along with guest artists, present the best of their talents to bring the beauty of Chinese Culture to the American public. Xilin''''s Lentern Festival has become a cultural tradition in Naperville. As the bell of Chinese New Year rang, the year of the Rabbit arrived. Let us sing and dance together with the Happy Rabbit Melody to welcome a prosperous New Year.
Xilin''''s Lantern Festival has alway been a collaboration of community effort, volunteers contribution, and city support. Xilin appreciates all the participants for their valuble support which will make the 2011 Lantern Festival another memoriable event!

15th International Festival at North Central College
On Sunday Feb. 13, North Central College held its 15th International Festival. The festival lasted from 12:00 noon to 4:00pm with 1,000 participants. According to Jack Shindler, the director of internationl programs and professor of English at North Central, "International Festival is primarily aimed at educating young folks. It's our major community outreach on behalf of international community awareness."
Xilin's Art Center proudly presented three dances at the festival; children's Chopsticks, Mongolian Bowl Dance, and Rain Bliss to represent the beauty of Chinese performing art. Our dances received big applauses and appraises from audience.
Xilin Art Center expresses its deepest appreciation to all the dancers and parents for them making extra efforts to participate the event. The dancers are:

美国华人华侨关于声援哈岗学区开办“孔子课堂”的联合声明
全球有超过50%的人不是讲英文就是讲中文，哈岗学区开设”孔子课堂”教授中文本是顺应历史的潮流,加强国际交流,提升美国竞争力的好事.可现在却被有人为了其个人的恩怨而不择手段地进行抹黑和歪曲,并将一些不实的材料发给媒体，对尊敬的为民服务的教委进行人身攻击,误导了一些天真善良的百姓.这个人既不是哈岗居民,也不是学生家长,却打着言论自由的幌子去蒙蔽99%民众的自由选择.现在有人煽动一些不了解真相的人一起递交了要罢免4位支持“孔子课堂”的教委诉求，这是一个不可能成功而且要浪费所有纳税人资源的事。
哈岗学区开办孔子课堂所遇到的问题，其实是全球、全美普及汉语的一个缩影。从学区使用的中文教材以及教授中文老师的情况看，他们既没有使用中国的教材，也没有来自中国的教师授课，学区的中文教育，就是单纯的教授中文及让学生了解亚洲文化，绝无有用共产主义给学生“洗脑”的可能。课堂上没有讲述任何和政治或宗教有关的教学内容。反对的人只是一小部分敌视和反华的人或并不了解实际情况的受误导的人。
社区领袖和居民代表一致同意并声明如下：
1）成立“南加州华人华侨声援哈岗学区开办孔子课堂委员会”，委员会将由热心支持哈岗学区孔子课堂的义工来组成.
2）呼吁哈岗社区居民抵制所谓的“罢免教委”活动。为了造福我们的子孙后代，向反对势力说“NO”.
3）呼吁大家告诉大家，用网上投票的方试反对“罢免”提案，网站是：

2010年9月5日，中创协会和嘉兴市在美国硅谷签订人才合作协定，为嘉兴招才引智。2010年6月，10月，12月中创协会分别四次组团访问嘉兴。第一期嘉兴精英引领计划，中创协会介绍项目申报在全球所有科技团体中名列第一，入选项目也名列前茅。嘉兴精英引领计划在浙江省产生巨大反响，成绩斐然。
