中创协会配合中国科协在美国硅谷调研
应中国留学人员创业协会邀请，中国科协副主席赵忠贤，中国科协海智办副主任方进一行四人，2月12-13日在美国硅谷调研海外智力为国服务情况。中国驻旧金山总领事馆科技参赞董建龙应邀参加了座谈和交流。
中国留学人员创业协会（简称中创协会）邀请兄弟专业协会参加了恳谈会。中创协会会长林建人(中国科协海智专家) 首先介绍了中国科协调研组此行的目的，并简单介绍了参会恳谈的各位专家。参加活动的有中创协会副会长周坚（图像芯片专家），硅谷华美半导体协会会长陈东敏（MEMS专家），硅谷无线电科技协会中国区会长黄启明（软件专家），中创协会副会长黄德欢（材料专家），理事梁建军（太阳能专家）。赵忠贤副主席和方进副主任介绍了中国科协海智计划实施内容，寻求海外智力在更加广泛和宽松的形式参与人才和智力引进，中国科协作为交流平台和渠道，将做力所能及的工作。
各协会会长和专家，就科技创新，千人计划，回国创业，展开了深入和广泛的交流，并就自己的亲身体会提出了各种问题。赵忠贤副主席，董建龙参赞，和方进副主任一一作了解答。
中创协会会长林建人，美中绿色能源促进会常务副会长薛维坷（法律专家），绿色能源促进会理事贡力（融资专家）还就自主知识产权，企业创新调研和中国科协副主席赵忠贤，海智办副主任方进进行了专题讨论，研究今年的工作内容。
中国科协代表团参观了 Intel 科技博物馆和斯坦福大学校园，了解美国大公司的科技创新和名校的学术环境。
中创协会作为中国科协海智计划在美国硅谷唯一海智单位和美国组织回国交流最多的社团之一，多年内积极参与中国科协的活动。去年和各地科协展开了广泛的交流和互动，包括组织参加无锡科协海智基地科技活动，组团访问安徽科协海智基地，定期和南京科协，福建科协，海南科协，江苏科协等单位交流，并计划今年在上述省市开展活动。

Dr. Yang Lu is the director of research for Quantal International, Inc. and is a senior portfolio manager for the Fortress-Quantal Fund, which is a Global Long-Short Equity Fund. Dr. Lu''''s prior roles have included portfolio manager at Marin Capital Partners, Manager of R&D at Wharton Research Data Services and Scientific Officer at the Paul Scherrer Institute. He holds Ph.d in physics from University of Pittsburg and used to study in University of Science and Technology of China prior to his US study.

Michael Wu is a member of the Corporate & Securities practice group in Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP. He has expertise in the area of private investment funds, including private equity funds, real estate funds, hedge funds, commodity funds, fund of funds, venture capital funds and China RMB funds, as well as with open-end and closed-end investment funds registered with the SEC. Mr. Wu advises fund managers on organizing, structuring and offering investment funds, as well as on the regulatory, legal, compliance, tax and ERISA issues relevant to investment funds. 我们的奥巴马总统曾在一次讲话中指出：“我们必须要多学习其它国家的语言。我本人一门外语都不会说，这让我感到很尴尬”. 语言不通已经成为美国与其它国家进行文化交流的最大阻碍。美国人总是认为世界上所有人都会说英语，这种思想削弱了他们学习外语的动力.奥巴马年仅9岁的女儿萨莎正在学习中文，在白宫为来访的中国国家主席胡锦涛举办欢迎仪式时，她还尝试与胡锦涛说汉语。
全球有超过50%的人不是讲英文就是讲中文，哈岗学区开设”孔子课堂”教授中文本是顺应历史的潮流,加强国际交流,提升美国竞争力的好事.可现在却被某个人为了达到其个人目的而不择手段地进行抹黑和歪曲,并将一些不实的材料发给媒体，对尊敬的为民服务的教委进行人身攻击,误导了一些天真善良的百姓.这个人即不是哈岗居民,也不是学生家长,却打着自由民主的幌子去压制99%的民众的自由选择.今天该是还原真相的时候了,我们特别邀请哈岗学区教委,社区领袖,社区居民代表联合召开记者会, 大众有权力知道事件的真相和来龙去脉, 到底什么是”孔子课堂”? 汉语教学何罪之有? 谁应该被罢免? 现场欢迎提问.
