中国用GDP超日本大肆宣扬中国经济高速发展。郎先生的警告虽然数据粗糙，但是很有必要。中国的GDP，相当部分是基础建设，有房地产泡沫和经济泡沫。还有相当部分是出口加工。很少直接利润。内需过低，实在是收入过低。属于血汗工厂和剥削造成的。和日本，新加坡的高利润，低内需大不一样。

The Science in Society conference addresses the social impacts, values, pedagogies, politics and economics of science. It is an inclusive forum that welcomes a breadth of perspectives on science from practitioners, teachers and researchers representing a wide range of academic disciplines.

In addition, the conference will also include numerous paper, workshop and colloquium presentations by researchers, practitioners, and teachers. We would particularly like to invite you to respond to the conference call-for-papers. Presenters may choose to submit written papers for publication in the fully refereed International Journal of Science in Society. If you are unable to attend the conference in person, virtual registrations are also available which allow you to submit a paper for refereeing and possible publication in this fully refereed academic journal, as well as access to the electronic version of the conference proceedings. You are also able to upload a presentation to the conference You Tube Channel.
The deadline for the next round in the call for papers (a title and short abstract) is 21 September 2010. Future deadlines will be announced on the conference website after this date. Proposals are reviewed within two weeks of submission. 哈佛大學人類學研究所副教授馮文（Vanessa Fong），應邀於15日晚間在拉斯維加斯大學（UNLV）演講，她的講題是「中國留學生海外求學移民之路」，以她從1999年開始的資料收集以及追蹤結果作說明，歡迎各界前往聽講。
馮文教授曾於1997年前往中國東北大連市開始研究中國一胎化政策下成長的孩子，他一共研究2273名中國1979年至1986年間出生的孩子，並追蹤這些研究對象至今的生活及工作和教育及觀點。
演講會時間是晚間7時30分，在Barrick Museum會堂，活動免費，聽眾可會中向馮教授提問。

這次的活動將於3005 Center Place, Norcross, GA 30093舉行，台灣同鄉會今年以「台灣夜市」的方式，慶祝中秋節，在賞月地點設置「路邊攤」，推出各種美味台灣小吃。小吃將完全由同鄉親手製作小吃，讓鄉親們享用道地的台灣風味食物，包括蚵仔煎、肉丸、肉粽、雞捲、烘肉、炒米粉、潤餅、和筒仔米糕等。台灣同鄉會也準備了戶外納涼、賞月區，讓同鄉與新朋舊友切磋、閒談。台灣同鄉會還會準備各種遊戲，另有老少咸宜的戶外卡拉OK以及電影欣賞。

2010年大華府學生學人論壇訂於本月18日及19日連續兩天在僑教中心舉行, 留學生將有機會台灣與駐美官員及海外有成的各界領袖作面對面交流，兩天一夜的活動完全由主辦單位免費提供，自即日起接受報名，凡是來自台灣的留學生均可向主辦單位登記。
大華府學生學人論壇係針對來自台灣的留學生而設計的活動，活動內容涵蓋產、官、學三方面，邀請華府地區的成功華裔企業家、知名華裔學者與代表處駐外官員，為留學生們講述旅美生活經驗與專業學科外的實務分享，留學生們亦有機會與來自不同學校的同儕互相交流。
