SOMA 2019 Scientific Assembly Call for Proposals
SOMSA 2019 is May 6-10, 2019 in Charlotte, North Carolina
Submission Deadline: Monday, October 1, 2018 (no exceptions)
Click here for the 2019 SOMSA Call for Proposals. NEW THIS YEAR - The Call for Proposals now requests submissions for both Research Abstracts and main Assembly presentations, including Labs. Submission deadline is Monday, Oct. 1, 2018 at midnight Pacific time.
The SOMSA Program Committee is seeking proposals for presentations, labs, and research abstracts that address important medical challenges and issues, increase the knowledge and skills of SOF and civilian pre-hospital providers and promote the development of new best practices and technologies.
Proposal submissions will be considered for the following types of sessions:
• General Session: 30-60 minutes
• Pre-Assembly Lab: 2, 4, or 8 hours
• Concurrent Track Session: 30-60 minutes
• Research Abstract (Podium or Poster): 15-20 minutes podium or 60-minute poster session
Proposals for the Assembly should be submitted electronically by Oct. 1, 2018. Unless noted otherwise, only proposals submitted through the online submission site will be considered. Interested parties can also access the online submission site from the SOMA website. Proposals must include:
• Author contact information
• Session title
• A brief description of the topic that will be used in the online brochure
• Session type, and
• Abstract (detailed outline) of no more than 300 words.
Submitters will need to indicate if they are a medic or otherwise, and civilian or military. Submitters of multiple-authored proposals will be asked to provide information for the additional authors.

China's Efforts to Build Its Soft Power

China has invested heavily in strengthening its cultural industries, its media industries, and in promoting study of the Chinese language and Chinese culture. Political scientist Stan Rosen has long studied China's efforts, particularly in film. In this talk he'll examine what soft power is and how it works and discuss Chinese efforts to acquire more of it. Rosen will conclude with an evaluation of whether or not China's soft power has grown in recent years.
Stanley Rosen, a member of the USC U.S.-China Institute's executive committee, is a professor of political science. He is editor, along with Kingsley Edney and Ying Zhu of the forthcoming book Soft Power with Chinese Characteristics: China's Campaign for Hearts and Minds (Routledge, 2019). Among his earlier edited books are Chinese Politics: State, Society and Market (with Peter Gries), Art, Politics and Commerce in Chinese Cinema (with Ying Zhu), and On Socialist Democracy and the Chinese Legal System (with Jonathan Unger and Anita Chan). He is the author of Red Guard Factionalism and the Cultural Revolution in Guangzhou and many articles and book chapters. He is the co-editor of the journal Chinese Education and Society.

中国政府投资非洲 分为银行贷款，和中资企业投资两部分，民间企业不算
国家层面的大型项目两部分：
1 基础设施建设，
铁路，公路，桥梁，机场，电站，通信设施 ，大型工业园区.....
这些投资基本都是由项目国家担保的中资银行信贷，是的，中国说没有政治条件，但是不代表各种规避风险的条件
首先是中资公司总承包，其次原材料要从中国进口，最后还要有政府担保，一旦发生债务违约，项目的日后经营权归属中方等等。总之，项目资金基本只在中国银行，企业之间掌控和流动
2，资源开采，
这就是西方媒体说的掠夺，
一般签下的开采权都是30年50年以上，有大型国有中资，也要私企，但是只要是通过国家银行贷款，都算中国对非洲国家投资
截止目前，和世界其他地方相比，中资银行在非洲的投资回报率最高，坏账率最低，
以上种种，中国政府不便多说，反华媒体就不要捕风捉影瞎炒作啦。 |

很难以想象这居然是清华大学给出的蓝皮书，完全扯淡，如果中国有6300万研发人员，那中国的每千人研发人员比例应该是45人！！然而实际中国的每千人研发人员占比约为0.57，不到韩国4.8人的八分之一。作为中国政府重要的一个政策制定参照文件，居然吹牛将数据扩大了79倍，怪不得啊。 |
