欢迎查阅附件“发展中的清洁能源科技”(由中华人民共和国科学技术部编发),其中英文PDF文件也发布到驻洛杉矶总领馆网站“国际科技合作”栏目中。

一句平淡如水的问候,很轻;

一声平常如纸的祝福,很真;

          采一片清香的粽叶,

          包一颗香甜的粽子,

          装入真情的信息里。

      祝您:端午节快乐,阖家幸福!

We are building the 美南中国专家人才网 (there are over 20 Chinese Professional Organizations in 11 Southern states, and we had convention every other year since 1996, the Atlanta Chapter just hosted the 8th conference this April).
I think we have some common tasks that we could discuss

On May 10 of 2010, ChinaNOW welcomed a group from Tennessee State University, including 8 students, the Dean of the College of Engineering, and the Director of TSU’s Center of Academic Excellence for Intelligence Education (CAEIS). What followed was 11 days of exposure to China’s culture, industry, business environment, and society.
To name some highlights,
-ChinaNOW put together a full-day at the Shanghai World EXPO 2010, an experience one of the professors commented as “a real demonstration of the power of globalization and the need for international collaboration”.
-ChinaNOW also arranged for the TSU group to sit down and talk with the COO of China’s #2 real estate developer, China Greentown Group,
-As well as a plant tour of computer hardware giant Logitech’s only factory in China.
-Among all these great activities, the group had the added benefit of lectures: “China – 30 Years Reform: Opportunities and Challenges” and “Doing Business in China”, as well as discussion-style workshops with local Chinese students to examine cross-cultural case studies. (Please find attached to this e-mail some photos of this program).
Needless to say, this group of students and faculty from TSU were so pleased with the program, they’ve pledged to return with more students and faculty every year. The students themselves felt the program was beneficial to their personal and professional development. I think we can both agree that this kind of custom program in China will also be very valuable for your students.
The reason why I am writing to inform you of this program is because of the wonderful impression we had during our visit at your institution, and to let you know that our commitment to providing an excellent, eye-opening experience in China for your students and your faculty is real.
The highlights I mentioned for the TSU group are only an example of the kind of program we custom tailor together with input from partner schools. We can focus on any field that your faculty and students are interested in.
We would also be happy to speak with any professors or department heads who you think might be interested in leading a group to China, especially if they’d be interested in developing a custom program together.
And as a general inquiry, does your school have any kind of scholarships or funds in place to help finance the cost of a program like this?
Finally, I want to emphasize the importance of taking advantage of our program this year because the EXPO will only be around until October, then this priceless venue is gone forever.

All the best,
Tony Tang
