Dear Professor Jiang,
Hope all’s well with you. I have been so busy lately, and with two short weeks (due to furlough) in each month, I have to squeeze work in four days instead of 5!
Just want to share some good news with you: I have been nominated for consideration by President Obama to serve on the President’s Advisory Commission on Asian American Pacific Islanders. There will be many, many who have been nominated. It will be very competitive and I am not sure I will be appointed by President Obama. However, just to be nominated is a great honor, and I wish to share that with you (see attached e-mail from Congressman Mike Honda’s Chief of Staff Jennifer Van der Heide, Esq.)
