John Casani博士，他曾經在JPL擔任許許多多重要職務包括了許多著名的太空計劃的主持人。這些計劃包括了：
Voyager 航海號 (I & II): 1997 發射至今己離開了太陽系。
Galileo: 到Jupite1989年發射到2003 任務結朿。
Cassini: 到土星，10/15/1997年發射到 9/15/2017任務完成。
這些任務都是當時JPL 傾全部力量建造的太空計劃。 John在50 年代即加入JPL 參與了無數的太空計劃，包括了早期的 Ranger, Mariner, etc. 他在1989年成為JPL的助理主任。掌控 JPL 的所有太空計劃。1994 年。成為JPL 的總工程師。在他一生中得獎無數包括了太空總署的特別服務獎，那是給非政府官員的最佳獎，1997美國航太學會 的太空系統獎，在2000 年，他得了賓州大學和羅馬大學的榮譽博士。更令人注目的是在2009年，得到了國家航空和太空博物館的終身成就獎。John, 這一身都在為美國太空事業努力。整個外太空的探險中，John 可以說是執其牛耳。對太空的探險影響, 無出其右者。他的經歷就會美國過去40 年太空探險的歷史。
